Was gonna say, much like when we lost Phil Donahue, one of those guys you could have said passed away 5-10 years ago and I wouldn't have blinked.  But then I remembered he had a funny mini appearance in the Righteous Gemstones and that amazing cameo in Uncut Gems.

Dude was a legend who aged into not taking himself too seriously in his later years, which always makes for entertaining appearances.

He got canned from Norman Lear’s “Good Times” because he frequently objected to the show (much like “All in the Family”) becoming too stereotypical. He was right, of course. Seemed like a really good dude.
