Big East Scoring Differential
« on: February 25, 2008, 08:49:01 PM »
Edited to include only Big East Games.

I was perusing some stats last night and found this little tidbit to be interesting:  After the win at 'Nova, Marquette is third in the Big East in conference scoring differential behind Louisville and G-Town

Team
Louisville
Georgetown
Marquette
West Virginia
Notre Dame
Connecticut
Pittsburgh
Syracuse
Cincinnati
Villanova
DePaul
Seton Hall

There are a lot of stat guys who believe point differential is one of the most important statistical indicators of a team's true ability, so hopefully this bodes well for the team the rest of the way.

Is this including non-conference? I'd take it much more seriously if it was only Big East games included.

It's an "if" and "but".....but I'll say it anyhow...

Take the two games against UL away, and we'd be at the top of that list.  I hate UL  >:(
