That sinkhole at that soccer complex in Southern Illinois is worth seeing.  Holy Hell.

I feel like there's a good joke about a hole being worth seeing in here somewhere...

I dunno but it was in Robert Wadlow"s hometown.  He was 8'11.  Sad he died so young and didn't hoop.

it's an atrocity and everyone involved in the decision should be put into stocks in central park and pelted with rotten tomatoes. Al Michaels included for consenting to it.

Sounds pretty medieval.

First job out of college was working in the Department of Interior, Bureau of Mines.
That was late 1980s.  Anyway, Southern Illinois have or had underground coal mines.
When they collapse it causes subsidence on the surface.  Not sure this is the case, but that was a big problem down there.

"If we finish off this recruiting class on a high note and have another good year next year, with one 2018 already signed up (Bailey) we may be on the verge of a new era of sustained basketball success which would be known to all as the Golden Eagles era." - Herman Cain

Untouchable.  And also even more hilarious cause it conjures up the image of a super tall lanky 6'8 dude in robes and a turban slicing through the lane.

Not the same, but similar.  My BIL once told me that they had an orthodox guy who used to play with them at the regular Sunday game at their Shul (its a really nice complex in NJ with a great full court, so lots of the guys in the area who used to hoop at a Y or a Equinox or the like in the city would play there, even assorted gentiles).  Anyways, dude used to be a high level prep school hooper who played low level D1 at a smaller school in the Northeast (forgot which one but something like an NEC school) before transitioning to a much more observant Jew in his late 20s.  So you had this 6'4 well built dude absolutely chopping 30s/40s dads up in a long beard, kippah, and tzitzit flowing.

Shows how little you know of me and my family.
Paternal grandfather was an Italian immigrant and factory worker.
Maternal grandfather was a Polish immigrant and farmer in northern Michigan.

My apologies, that exempts you from being bigoted since Italians and Polish are famously not that.

Unwarranted attack, totally uncalled for, and your post oozes pure hypocrisy.
