If you are going to use that 13th scholarship, use it on a 7' project.

Appears to be unknown, or at least unranked. Some highlights on this page (uniform #23): https://www.hudl.com/profile/17093641/Joshua-Clark

Blocks some shots, as you might imagine. Certainly looks like he moves well for somebody his size. His teammate Aziz Olajuwon is Hakeem's son.

Feels like another guy to stash and red shirt and develop.

Redshirt would seem to make sense.

While the portal is always open, the window to move about freely without waivers is closed.

So, as usual, I am highly skeptical.

Interesting pick up. His size will definitely translate to this level. Seems to have been overlooked by everyone except us as there is very little info on him.

Welcome, young Mr. Clark.   I look forward to watching your development.

I'm shocked a 7 footer with this guys frame is so unheralded. Must be incredibly raw. Good thing Shaka is one of the best in the business in developing big men.

Cool.  Strength in numbers if you're going to go projects at the 5 spot.  Go and get a number of them.  Need one of Cadin, Al, or Clark to hit.

This seems to be a trend in the Shaka era. Sign an unheralded big, athletic guy and try to develop him

Itejere
Gold
Amadou
Hamilton
Clark

So far only one hit but there's still time for the last three

His you tube video shows mostly blocked shots and put backs.

I see good hands, very mobile, shot blocking instincts, and a frame that will easily handle another 25 lbs.

Didn’t gold go to the NBA global academy?

The more I think about it I'd be shocked if he doesn't redshirt.

No one is leaving. This is the roster.

Possibly.   Even with Shaka's culture, somebody will want a change.   'Tis the way of it.

Welcome Joshua!

We are extremely excited about Josh joining our basketball family,” Smart said in a statement. “He possesses tremendous tools and character, has very supportive and aligned parents and comes from a background of winning.  Josh will fit right in with our group’s sustained emphasis on relationships, growth and victory.

Thanks MuMark.  Sounds like another big man project.  Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Might be a 5 year project which is good for the kid, if he is any good in 2 years, MU might have there tallest frontcourt ever, Clark, Parham and Gold!

He will have good academics.
Clements High (Ft Bend ISD) is a good academic school. Avg SAT 1350 /ACT 30; 33 Natl Merit Scholars; 92% AP test pass rate, etc

My Niece went there when (2009) their big sports star was QB Derek Carr. I went to one of her HS FB games to see the opposing QB at Strake Jesuit QB Andrew Luck. Clements won;
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.
