I know of two boxers (Feliciano and Arias), a WBB player (Hiedeman), and a soccer player (axel sjoberg) .

Are there any other pro athletes that have come out of MU over the years? Track, lax, soccer, golf, etc?

There's definitely some lacrosse players of which I think a few are all stars.

Completely spaced on Emery Lehman, double embarrassing for me to forget because he went to my high school as well.

Well, he wasn't a "pro," but Ralph Metcalfe was a world-record-setting runner and two-time Olympian. He might be best remembered for finishing second to Jesse Owens in the 100 meters at the 1936 Olympics - meaning the Fuhrer had to watch two "inferior" human beings get the gold and silver medals in arguably the biggest event of the Berlin Games.

Marquette also produced dozens of NFL players, including 1st-round draft picks Johnny Strzykalski, Ray Buivid and Ron Drzewiecki.

the local sports legend in my small hometown played football for MU and the Detroit Lions in the 30s and 40s - George "Buzz" Youngs. At a senior luncheon in HS, when I said I was going to MU, he was really excited, and told me that when he went to MU, it was just Marquette, Johnston, and Sensenbrenner halls.

One almost-Marquette athlete was Andrija Novakovic. Committed to Marquette out of Muskego HS after being named Wisconsin Player of the Year.

But before he came here, he signed with Reading FC in England. He's currently playing for Reggiana in the Italian Serie B & managed 3 caps for the USMNT along the way. So not a Marquette alum but he intended to be.

Jenna Rosenthal plays professional volleyball in the Athletes Unlimited  Pro Volleyball league in Arizona.

I cheated as I Googled it.

Hattie Bray plays for the Grand Rapids Rise and Jenna Rosenthal plays for the Atlanta Vibe of Major League Volleyball

If I recall correctly Jenna Reitsma is a coach on Hattie Bray's team. Kind of funny to me that one moment you're teammates next you're listening to your old teammate's coaching advice.

I didn't know Minnesota had a team until today. Their inaugural season doesn't start until 2027... playing at the area the Minnesota Wild play at. It's huge. Super strange, but I want to go to support Hattie.

My guess is they'll curtain off the upper level.

The Indy Ignite (I really dislike these singular nicknames) play in a 7500 seat arena (only one level) and it's a great atmosphere and the perfect size.

I would be nice if MLV and LOVB could merge for one national professional league instead of competing with one another.
