Who do we match up better against?

BrewCity83

Oakland.  Horizon league also-rans.  We would destroy them.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

MuggsyB

Oakland.  Burns is a large man Judge.

Exactly. Colorado is better than either of them, that's the only opponent who matters.

I dunno,  im kinda  liking this skip a game crazy talk.

He got benched at MU and was a star at Oakland.

Averaging 29.9mpg as a senior is a benching? 18.4mpg as a Junior is a benching? 17.2mpg freshman year? You're wayyy too fixated on the tight leash his sophomore year.

On a podcast a teammate mentioned he was got a MU swag bag delivered to his lock and was apparently psyched about receiving MU gear in the mail, rocking it around at practice.

He still posts on Insta about MU. I did ask him on there if this scenario occurred, what would he do, but he never responded.

Shame on the OP. When fans look ahead, they always doom their teams.

The only reason UConn won the national title last season is that their fans never, ever looked ahead. That's just science.

You'd think Marquette fans woulda learned after our loss to Vermont last year.

Colorado. And only Colorado on the mind.
VIOLENCE!

If MU plays JMU, they need to pull Caedin's redshirt so Hamilton can help beat
James Madison.

Right. Maybe he appreciates his time with both programs and he'd view that kind of match-up as a win/win.

But my guess is that he would choose Oakland because the coach he played for there is still around, while the coach he played for at MU isn't.

Jamal and Greg are Detroit metro natives.  Got to think roots would get the pull.

so if wojo was still here( blood curdling screams!!) he'd consider MU ??  probably not

now if this were MU vs UVA, Sam would still be leaning MU-he still feels MU was his home

regardless of coaches even though we know his love for wojo was unconditional ;)

Why not? Wojo recruited Jamal. He played four years for him. Wojo started Jamal his entire last year here. Sure there were frustrations, but I never got the sense that Jamal had any ill-will toward Wojo.

My biggest takeaway from this thread is realizing that Cain did indeed play 4 years here. I watched those years like the rest of us, but didn't remember he put in the four years with MU.

And my guess Greg would have left a year earlier in retrospect.

All I care about is the MU game tomorrow. Do not care who we play the rest of the way. One at a time!

What a great game.  Both teams present unique challenges.

Neither - horrible matchups as 11 and 14 seeds for a 2 seed.
