"O'Reilly's" and "Coaches Corner" are side by side, each about 3 blocks from Gainbridge Arena. I'm sure both will be hopping with college basketball fans.

I will be looking for middle aged and old guys wearing MU swag.

Just got tickets in section 210 for Friday.  Anyone have word on team hotel yet?

How are the ticket prices?

For Friday Session 1 only, I got pretty decent upper deck tickets for $125 a pop after fees.  Downstairs looks to be somewhere between double and triple that. Haven't looked at Sunday.

Definitely want to hit that spot up. It's two blocks from where I'm staying.
The portal is NOT closed.

Tickets procured for $144/each in section 119

I live downtown Indy.

Happy to provide recs.

Metazoa is a pretty good brewery. Not at all a sports bar.

O'Reilly's and coaches are fine. Pretty touristy/downtown clientele. Definitely not a neighborhood bar or anything.

Massachusetts avenue is a bit farther north and has a better "neighborhood" vibe compared to anything near the arena. But it would be a long walk.

I would avoid anything on/near Georgia St, personally. It's gonna be PACKED. Plus the food/service is nothing to write home about.

The Hangar is a newish sports bar between Gainbridge and Lucas Oil.

Close to Gainbridge (walkable) and not terrible: O'Reillys, Coaches, The Hangar, Taxman.

Close to Gainbridge (walkable) but higher end: Mel's Speakeasy, Plat 99 (in the alexander).

Metazoa is really not walkable, but a nice brewery - again, not a sports bar.

Further away, but more "neighborhood" - Mass Ave and Fountain Square.

Anyone get their tickets through MU yet? Don't see any tickets on the resale sites for those sections yet for any of the sessions (same for most other tourney locations). Trying to work a few connections who would have access to them but not optimistic it works out. Otherwise, I'll get them on game day. First MU NCAA game for me. Couldn't be more excited.

Also, saw some other teams announcing an open practice. Is MU doing that? Would love to attend that as well.

I vaguely recall someone posting something not long ago that even a $10k donation does not secure the ability to get tickets through MU. Something like that, anyway.
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

I forgot what the number was, but with the families and other traveling party from MU, it was something like the top 50 (or fewer) in points got access last year.

TallTitan34

Did MU send out any email for future rounds?  Usually they ask every round you are interested in.

Marquette sent out an email to STHs about two weeks ago saying the allocation of tickets is very limited and only for university purposes for opening weekend. So, find tickets on your own via secondary markets.  That allocation includes major donors, staff, families, administration, band, spirit squad, etc.

It was mentioned that second weekend requests and beyond will be handled at a future time (when the schools should get a larger allocation).

I really liked the area south east of the Soldiers memorial-- Fletcher place/north square, I believe. Virginia Ave has a lot of nice spots to eat and drink if you're trying to get away from the more sports bar or chain places. Liked Bluebeard a lot (brunch at Milktooth, the sister restaurant is also good). Geraldine's supper club was a good  spot too.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Saw those on Stubhub.  Was still a $152 in that section last I checked.

RealChiliWarrior

I used Stub Hub for 3 Friday session 1 in Sec 1 Row 10 for $255 each including fees & tax.
