Getting ass-kicked by X deserves a 4-seed

Still a 4-seed?

3 refs and Val Ackerman should be fired after that game.  If the BEAST wants to put a good product on the court and on the TV, they cannot hire clowns like that to officiate.  It has happened far too often.  The best "basketball" conference needs to have professional refs.

Xaviers 3-8 is better than our 3-8.

Oh, yeah?

Good win, but not a great performance.

Pretty good performance considering the circumstances.

3-seed is a tad disappointing. We’re better than CU, I have no doubt. Played a tougher NC schedule too

Stevie and Ben had GREAT 2nd halves.

Joplin and Chase still weren't close to good, but at least chipped in 10 points in that 2nd half vs. 0 in the 1st.

Missed shots will happen but rough game for Jop defensively.

Good win, but not a great performance.

Yes it was. There are very few teams in the country that could compete at the level Marquette did today without their All-American best player. Punctuated by a very poised closeout in the final five minutes. This is college basketball, games are almost always messy.

I think Xavier played inspired... Senior night I think

Marquette just beat an inspired Xavier. We were as a team, solid.   I know FTs and let downs and Jop could be better... But we were solid. Xavier playing great couldn't handle it.

I'm encouraged!

So now it will be Villanova on Thursday unless Providence knocks off UConn.

Then it would be St. John’s.

Very good win by MU. Aside from the timing of Kolek’s injury, I think it was a great three game test for the rest of team. Far better than playing the lower half of the conference.

What’s wrong with Jop?  Seems like we have been saying that most of the season.  And lately, Ross.

Some players play better coming off bench.  Ross has been starting last three games and I still don’t think he has a made field goal.

Jop had an off night. It happens.

Gutsy-ass win. Kam's best game in a Marquette uniform. Stevie was fuggin' nails down the stretch.

Avoided the rake and on to NYC.

He had one today. Got to the line and played some solid defense.

Going to be a big summer for him.
