Throughout the past three years Tyler Kolek has proven to be an OUTSTANDING basketball player for Marquette. I remember his very first game against Bowie State at home. This is a thread to share some of your favorite Tyler Kolek memories.

After hearing the news, when I'm back at the Fiserv on Wednesday, I'll take a moment in the corner of the hallway and drink a beer and cry my eyes out. Yes, I am a man. But I can't help but be emotional. I remember almost all of his games and have been at every home game since 2000.

It is so sad to see this group come to an end as Tyler is out for the season. Please share some of your favorite memories here and stories.

God Bless you Tyler Kolek.

We will miss you forever and will always wish we had another one of you here.

You are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #11

Don't bring your own tissues steve, they'll be handing them out at the door....

I have a deep appreciation for everything Tyler Kolek has done for the Marquette program.  I believe we'll be cheering him on again soon in a gold and blue uniform.  Why are you of the belief his season is over?  Am I missing a new development?

No he's just a goof ball

This group hasn't come to an end yet, and Tyler isn't out for the season.

But thanks for paying attention.

I fully expect TK to be back on the court this year, even if not at 100% and probably not until the NCAA. If Wednesday is his last home game, I do feel badly for him not being able to play. He has provided a helluva of excitement to the FF and the program over the past three years and would have been nice to see it end with him on the court. Hopefully his lasting legacy will be a deep run in the tournament led by his play.

We were at the thanksgiving tournament in Charleston. I noticed Travis singing country roads during the free throws. He became my favorite player on the team that year right then. At the time I thought he was just having fun. Didn't realize he was probably messing with WVU players and fans.

Tyler once gave me a ride to the greyhound station and he let me sit in his front seat.  I will never forgot his kindness on and off the court .

I was at my cousin's wedding on the East Coast last summer and, look who shows up, but Tyler Kolek. Things were going well until about 9 p.m., when the venue inexplicably ran out of booze. All they had to offer was bottled water. You'll never believe what Tyler did next ...

Steve from Stallis gots me in my feels this Tuesday morning.

It could be true that we've seen TyKos last ever game at FiServ Forum.
I sure hope not, but it might be true.
If so, it's been a helluva ride.

Obviously the Illinois game stands out to me, as I'm sure it does to many.
That game was so awesome in so many ways. I drove up from Chicago last minute, it was a weekday if I recall, and I took off the next day.
Tyler was the hero, the first of many times.

It was obvious pretty early, and I can't pinpoint an exact game, that Tyler was going to be one of the best passing PGs to ever put on the uniform.

There's no doubt in my mind we will see Tyler in that first NCAA game.

What level he is at is the only question I have.

Love the sentiment, DrV, but that's gotta be the worst (and longest) haiku I've ever read.

Well said Steve. I too am a man and didn't expect to cry this morning. Thank you.

Zero question. He just doesn't want Marquette to blowet.

I won't speak to the quality of Dr V's haiku, but I question his attendance at the Illinois game. No one from Chicago would ever use the phrase 'drove up' when referencing driving 140 or so miles directly south to Champaign-Urbana....

Guessing he's talking about the 2021 game at Fiserv, when Kolek stole the ball and took it the other way for the winning layup with 18 seconds remaining.

Just watched this game again, and wow was that a special one.

Didn't remember until today, but true freshman Stevie Mitchell was playing in the final minutes of that game.

I agree.  Unless his oblique is torn, or like really bad to the point where they know it is season ending, he is absolutely going to play.

If they know it is season ending and are just playing games with the media to assure they get the highest possible seed, that is another thing...but...if he is physically able to play (even if physically limited) he's gonna play.

Steve took Curbelo, which allowed Morsell to slide over to guard Frazier.

Kur was awesome that night too.

Haha thanks Pakuni, my bad.....
I just have this year on my mind, and he had an awesome game off that sprained ankle...
I would delete if I could, to hide my shame...😵‍💫
