Al with zero concept of touch at the rim

Throwing them soft and hard with no consistency.

Yeah, tonight should put an end to the "why doesn't Shaka play Al more" nonsense.

Amadou no bueno. That touch around the rim 😳
Raw, but way more potential as a project than Keeyan ever had.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

I was unaware of the "nonsense".  Who ever said that?

If Shaka turns hum into Oso2 let's put both of them in the hall of fame.

Seems more likely he ends up having a nice career at oakland or something

It could not matter any less, but I do find it remarkable just how incapable the walk-ons are at making a shot. It's almost impressive.

PointWarrior

I don't know, some reports on scoop is that Keeyan is near all -American at WKU.

Averaging 8.3/5.2.   Good for him.

100%.  I think Al actually has a bright future at MU.

Surprising.

Not to disparage the young man, because he's got a ton of athletic ability and a nose for the hoop, but he just seems so lost on the end that matters the most.
Offensively he set a nice screen too, but he had a bad moving screen that didn't get called as well.

Watching him on the defensive end is tough, just seems so lost, like the game is blowing by him at all times.
He will have some exciting blocks if/when he plays, but it'll be hard to find the court if he doesn't figure it out on that end.

With Caedin and Parham added to the 5 spot he will have some competition for backup minutes, or any minutes for that matter.

I know Marquette has a ton of bodies in the front court next season, but the longer the season goes on the more I wonder if Shaka should maybe bring one a one year stud at the 5.
More than anything, it'll help take some of the pressure off all the guards as well.

I know that's not Shaka's MO, and I know he doesn't like recruiting over players, but all those guys will essentially be brand new and will take time to develop into viable BE bigs.

As for Benny- the toughness and conviction inside just aren't there, not at this point at least

Coming in at garbage time is never for a good look, but man does Al look D-II. I could see him as a RS candidate next year, assuming he would be ok with that plan.
btw, and not that we care...but our walk-ons really do look...trying to find the right words...less than good.
