MU Fan in Connecticut

NMD issue that Marquette could do nothing about.  At my game watch party the putrid Maryland vs Ohio State game went into double overtime delaying the FS1 broadcast of Marquette / St. John's.  They could not find FS2 in their system, so we had to wait until someone mercerily finally won a boring game.
My Fox Sports App was having issues playing the game for some reason.
I missed the rough start so maybe it was blessing.

I am far from being a techie but had no problem getting the game on the app. Of course, the app defaulted to the game on TV, but I was quickly able to find the MU/SJ game. Maybe someone here can help figure out why you had trouble and can prevent it from happening again.

Games preceding ours too often go beyond tip-off. I wish Fox would stop scheduling games so tightly! If they scheduled games 2:15 apart, there would obviously be fewer cases of overlap, but double OT would still cause delays for the next game. I think Fox would welcome the opportunity to sell more ads with increased spacing between games. Calling on Mr. Neilson to offer his professionally based comments.

Dead time between games allows people to find another game.

Didn't think of that, but yeah...true. But doesn't the same dead time at the end of a game that is no longer competitive do the same?

Fox hosts are good and I think hold the attention of some viewers who may otherwise switch channels.

I know we had a big come from behind win yesterday, but let's not let the important questions get ignored:

Why is Marquette so cheap not to put tshirts on all the seats?

Honestly, I feel the stripe outs have been better when not on the seats. Although, that might coincide with the team being better so people are more excited to participate in that.

Because MU is still in the hole from Wojo's buyout.

Even though the games are "scheduled" 2 hours apart, the actual start times are actually closer to 2:15 apart.

I think yesterday's game started after 5:10.

When Fox has games scheduled at 6:00 and 8:00 I learned as someone who attends almost every home game that the 6:00 games start almost at 6 on the dot and the 8:00 games start closer to 8:15.

Yesterday we were there early and the countdown clock on the scoreboard had the time to "tip off" set to hit zero at 5 PM. But in their language, tip off means the horn sounds and the teams head to their benches. Then they have the hype videos, the starting lineup introductions, the national anthem (yesterday they had a different singer do a different song before the anthem) then the teams go back to their benches and wait for the referees to call them to center court and they hold the ball until the TV producer tells them they're ready to go. The whole process takes the better part of 15 minutes.
