College game day should be at UConn next week shouldn't it? There's no other game that even comes close. If ESPN doesn't go there, it's just ridiculous.

My apologies if this is already been discussed.

cheebs09

I bet they go to Kentucky/Auburn. I'd be shocked if they went to a game on Big Fox.

Just curious, will they go to a game in a conference they do not have a deal with? I doubt they would.

Yeah, that's why I was asking, but I think they've done it before if I'm not mistaken?

Hard for me to imagine College Game Day going to a game on a rival network. It would make zero sense from a marketing perspective, and that's really what CGD is about.

They've done it for football

Yeah, zero chance they promote a game on Fox.

MurphysTillClose

They do it for football cause Herbstreit and Fowler do the night broadcast no matter what. They just PJ out of there after filming.

I believe CBB Gameday location is just based on wherever Bilas is announcing the game.

I'd be happy to be wrong about CGD and UConn-MU, but this one rare time I think I'm right.

Yeah, they're not coming for UConn-Marquette.  Ultimately, who cares anyway?

Sportscenter left out MU and UConn on games to watch today. I believe they listed games of every other top 10 playing.

Donny, Casey and LaVall are pretty well informed. It'd be great to see them do a Fox GameDay at the arena or something.

as Murphystill mentioned, it's happened for football...Ohio St/Michigan where both FOX and espn did their pregames from Ann Arbor. Same for a Colorado football home game last season during the Coach Prime early season hype.

Basketball and not compelling enough (sure it's the best game). But they'll just pick a blue blood or other top 5 and call it a day.

cheebs09

I guess the only reason I could see them doing it is that it's close to Bristol.

mugrad_89

I think they've already decided on Kentucky/Auburn.  Fox needs to do something similar as their on air personalities are just as good as ESPN's if not better.

Right. But football is different. They knew that most eyeballs would be on those games and wanted to steal the Big Noon thunder.

For basketball they are just hyping their own product.

And really who cares?

I guess I shouldn't care, but when I think about it, it's really annoying.

Mr. Nielsen

Basketball version only does ESPN games. Ratings are much higher for the football version of College Gameday. Most don't even know there is a basketball version.

Used to watch it years ago. I forgot it existed.

Wow what a game #16 ranked Auburn at unranked Kentucky

I'm pretty sure I just heard they're doing Nova @ UConn 2/24.  Fox game.
