Largely controlled the game with passing when he gave up trying to finish because he would get hammered and never get a call. He drove and dished instead. Played well without scoring. Played good D too.

Ben was clearly better the previous two games.   I wonder if the Villanova personnel and style of play was a bad match up for him.    A better match for Chase, as he is an athletic wing.   

The good news is a lot of players seem to be stepping up.    Get through Saturday and use the next week to rehab for the stretch run.

My wife and I will be in DC for the game, the only Marquette game we attend in years when we do not go to NYC for the BET. I never look beyond the next game-not even DePaul  .. It's just the way I am wired. No unwelcome surprises Saturday please.

This made me laugh.

It became apparent Seton Hall was going to hammer him inside and the refs weren't going to call it, so he stopped driving and became a facilitator. As a result it wasn't his most metrically efficient game, but he still did a good job being a net positive.

Jan 10 was way worse. Nova fans were doing what many scoopers do ("ur a white male so ur an awful crazy conspiracy person!"... but meanwhile the person shouting it is a hillbilly dork white beta male). That's all.
