Cut the crap Blue.  You mentioned we shouldn't glean anything from Nova's losses in November to Drexel and Penn because they didn't have Moore.  Then you conveniently overlook the fact that the same team beat UNC and Memphis in November.  You follow that nonsense with Neptune isn't watching tape, because MU is ahead at the half, and state MU can't beat anyone if a coach packs the paint.  I like you Blue but was not pleased with your  comments today.

He's correct. Pack the paint. Cut off the left hand of Tyler and Kam. Dare MU to beat you from the outside

We all know this is the scouting report.  We're capable of adjusting and getting buckets.

Go back and read that exchange.

I started making the point that Villanova has a very good, veteran team and is better than they were last year. You responded that "they lost to Penn and Drexel" and I said that it takes time to get new players acclimated, something that I believe to be true. I didn't say they didn't have Moore.

I then said "Moore has missed some games too", which is true. I didn't say he missed the Penn and Drexel games. He missed 5 games from early December to early January. You mistakenly took two separate thoughts and lumped them together.

My overall point was that Villanova is a good, veteran team that is better than last year and better than they were in  November. Somehow you interpreted that as not being supportive of MU.

And I did not say at halftime that Neptune isn't watching tape; not sure where you got that. I just made the same comment I made at halftime of the Butler game about  packing in the defense. It surprises me when teams allow MU to get a lot of easy baskets around the rim (as both Butler and Nova did in the first half) when they are having so much trouble making threes.I think  it's a mistake to play them too tight outside and leave things open around the basket. It has nothing to do with not being supportive of MU.

Responding to Muggsy with facts and logic is an exercise in futility blue.

Nova's blitz switch philosophy was very vulnerable to MU's offensive philosophy. 66 PIP + FTM was incredible. Well played Shaka and Nevada.

Hopefully, Neptune won't figure out at halftime what Matta figured out the other day.

Pack the lane and MU can't beat you.

This and every single one of your posts were essentially negative about MU through the entire thread.  Then, after the game, you obsequiously praised our performance and seemingly forgot everything you wrote.  Now, if you and others here want to live in la-la land that's your prerogative but nothing I stated misrepresented your overall takes during the game.  Ergo your tone, comments, insinuations, and running narrative didn't sit particularly well with me.  It's no biggie but that's what happened.

Boo hoo.  You should view the game thread akin to being at the game in a packed stadium.  There will be those screaming and clapping, hecklers, fans angry at individual plays, fans fearing the worst when they see recurring problems, opposing fans yelling, and even sometimes - but rarely - rational folks.

That's fine but doesn't mean I can't be irritated by negative statements.

Hah.  Of course.  Just pointing out that game threads are fans going through the emotional roller-coaster of game in a snapshot of time.  If a fan is negative in the game thread based on some plays, or even past games, and then has an overall positive reaction after the game...that's ok too.  We can't all be the model of rationality like you Muggsy!

Fair enough.  Perhaps I  somewhat overreacted.  I was just surprised reading it from Blue.

This is patently absurd.

Most of my relatively few comments on the thread were about Villanova's veteran status and the fact that they have some big, strong players, which in no way is negative about MU. Was Shaka being negative about MU when he said on the postgame show that I heard on the way home that Villanova has some "grown men"?

Was I being too negative when I commented about the shooting background at the FF? I think you know who that was referring to.

And the one post you're singling out was a reference to the well known, irrefutable fact that MU has been struggling from the 3 point line.

Maybe, just maybe, you are overreacting. I think anyone who scrolls  through to see my half dozen or so posts (all made before the start of the second half) would wonder what you were so worked up about.

Love the teal. Still think it was just a case of my having some bad Kombucha before I wrote "that" post Rocky?  ;D
