In a game against their rivals who had circled this game for a long time, Love comes out and goes 27-32, 316 yards and 2 TDs, probably should have been 3-4.

4,149 yards, 32TDs, 11 picks, none over the final 4 weeks in must win games, 3 total over the final 10 games

Trade him for a used bike, aina?

I was wrong.

At least you didn't say he lacks arm strength to play in the NFL

He improved.  As you would want a first year starter to do.  He got in sync with his receivers, his line gave him time.  Now, at the end of the year, he and his offense are impressive dangerous.   Winning at Dallas will be a big ask.

All with a REALLY young receiving corps.

Young but talented. Gute has made some questionable decisions but he hit on all his skill position picks this year plus looks to have found something in Melton.

So happy for Jordan Love.

Zero expectation with regards to that game.  2023 was a referendum on him and he passed with flying colors.  Cap mess is clearing up, line improved and wideouts, especially Reed looked a lot better as the season went along.

QB question has been answered and that makes things simpler moving forward

Yeah its absolutely house money from here on out.

Love's composure has been the most eye opening to me. What he has been doing on 3rd down is pretty incredible. I think his only incompletion was the overturned touchdown.

MU82

He did throw what looked to be an idiotic INT near the end of the half, but the receiver broke it up for him. But man, he was good. And he's been very good for at least a couple months now.

Good on Love. Playing QB is always a difficult job, made more difficult when following two Hall of Famers and playing for a historic franchise.

I agree on his composure. That was something I noticed even early on this season.

Jordan said the game has slowed down for him.

Love's passer rating the last 4 games:

111.5
109.1
125.3
128.6 - today, must win game

A question for you guys.

Do you think today's game will affect what the bears do this off-season?  Other than the Super Bowl, I would think there too 2 goals are winning the North and beating GB. Now, it looks to be more difficult for either of those two think with the emergence of Love. Can they afford to stick with Fields or do they need to shoot for the moon with their #1 pick?

They better shoot for the moon because Fields isn't within a continent of Love as a QB

Today's game absolutely had an effect.

Had the Bears won, this ownership would have said everything is great and no changes needed anywhere.

The loss at least opens up the conversation about the QB and the staff

After Field's head had that violent impact with the ground, he was not the same.
Don't know why they left him in. Hope he is ok. A concussion would not surprise me in the least.

He wasn't good before that

He looked no different before and after. He was completely mediocre.

As I said in another thread, the kid is a dude. I live in Florida, don't get to see him much. But what I've seen (especially today) is very impressive.

I like Jordan but quite a few balls he throws are ducks.  If he can tighten them up and zip em a little more he could be three in a row.

What I do like most about Jordan is that he doesn't get as outwardly frustrated when his teammates clearly run the wrong routes or plays.

Aaron used to lose it on guys and then ice them out.  Jordan is FAR more patient.

That'll probably change (icing guys out) as time goes by but given the youth of his receivers and tight ends, the offense has a chance to be electric the next 3-4 years growing together.

Finances split that group up sooner than later if they all develop like they've shown they're capable of.  Hopefully, it's a good problem to have
