When I was young I lumped loads coming into the Kohls and Roundy's warehouses. The notion of Mr. Kohls successes motivated me to rise above that.

"Son," Herb Kohl said, throwing a friendly arm around young Texas Western's shoulders, "I know this is hard work, but I hope it inspires you to one day spend all your time posting links to Jeenathan Williams updates and Suzanne Somers sex life...other than your time dining with Jamie Dimon and running your very own very large and important company, of course. Godspeed."
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Doc

He was a good man. As Rico noted, big Al and MU basketball guy back in the day. While I did not know him well, this news made me sad.

After he sold he gave a ridiculous amount of money back to Bucks employees.  Guys in middle management who were making 95K got 6 figure checks. Bradley Center ushers got 10K. He was one of one.

He also has done a bunch of other charitable things that he has never been recognized for. He loved Milwaukee, loved Wisconsin and was a true philanthropist.
