Have any of you ever seen that Marquette poster that is a big spread of the campus and shows where all the buildings, monuments, bars, etc. are?  It's almost like a cartoon drawing but it looks very well done.  I think they came out in the late 80's or early 90's.  I've seen them of Madison, St. Norberts, and other schools too.

Anyway, I called the number on one I saw and the company doesn't exist anymore.  Does anyone know where I can find one?   My wife has been trying for a year to find one and can't.  Any help would be much appreciated.

I know exactly what you're talking about, but I haven't seen one.

Good luck...I had one in school and probably have it in the garage right now folded up in a box...in fact I'll bet I definitely do if I looked hard enough.  Very difficult to find anymore.

I have one.  I think I posted it here at some point, a digital version.  I'll see if I can find and re-post the image.

I know the exact one you are talking about as well.  I wanna say it was from 1986 but I am not positive.  Some girls I knew in college had one that me and my buddy actually stole and later traded back to them for four tickets the Marquette - Wisconsin game for some out of town buddies I had coming in.  I would love to get my hands on one of those as well.

That would be fantastic!

Let's see if this works.  I had it on my hard drive, I tried to attach it to the message.  If it doesn't show up and someone can tell me how to get it to work let me know.

I wanna say it was from 1986 but I am not positive.

We could probably narrow down when it's from.  It contains the "New Alumni Memorial Union" which had a grand opening party on 10/26/90.  West Hall is on there, and that disappeared sometime in the mid 90s.  OD's is absent.  The last time I remember being there was Spring '92.  The Bradley Center says "Home of the Marquette Warriors".  So it has to be sometime before '94.   Any other clues?  My guess is 1993.

By the way, I'd love to get my hands on one of those too.  That's my era.

I am guessing 1988 based on the file name.  The AMU could have been on the drawing boards.  OD's maybe didn't pay to be listed.  The BC opened in 1988 I believe.

Wow, talk about missing the obvious.  I saved the image, but didn't notice the filename.  The BC did open in fall of '88.  And they could have put the union in there since it was being built.  If OD's didn't pay to get listed, I could buy that it is indeed '88.

Final Four or Bust

I was first on campus in the fall of '91 and I remember those being around, so it was before that -- 88-89 makes sense to me.  That is pretty much how I remember campus . . . . lots of things have changed, some for the better and some for the worse.

MUEng92

Confirmed.  The BC was opened my freshman year (88-89).

muhoosier260

there's a similar one to this poster, but its of the entire city of Milwaukee. I saw it @ Thurman's on the east side last week. There's isn't really that much of MU on the map (not to mention its completely wrong in where things actually are, but who cares) but it was still pretty cool

ChicosBailBonds

'88 sounds right to me.   A lot of places on that map that don't exist today.  Memories

Avenue Commons

I remember those being for sale in the Marquette Shop (wasn't that the name of it?) across from Gesu and next to Grebe's when I was a freshman in 1993.
