Harvard MW Game Plan
« on: November 30, 2023, 09:03:57 AM »
1) Control Tempo
2) Attack with venom every area on the floor.
3) Rebound, Rebound, Rebound
4) Get to the FT line
5) Eliminate Hepburn

* Play with zero hesitation, supreme confidence, and usurp this game from minute one.

I call BS. No Muggsy 5-point plan is genuine unless one of the points involves introducing someone to darkness

Muggsy and his boys already got to Kathryn.

Exactly. If it's not "introduce Hepburn to darkness" its not a genuine Muggsy 5 point plan

Anyone have any thoughts on Essegian’s tweet about subleasing his apartment for next year? Seems like he’s looking for attention as I doubt he would need to turn to twitter to find someone, but interesting to me nonetheless. He’s allegedly injured, but regardless a bizarre start to his sophomore campaign. He was key for them against us last year.

I think if they go out there and play Marquette basketball they'll be just fine. Our coaches are way smarter than me at this kinda stuff anyhow.

Well, I see the vermin have won 4 in a row. And they probably see this Saturday's game as a tune up for Michigan State and Arizona. What do you say about the guys from Milwaukee kicking the freckled asses of those guys at Lake Mendota State? End the drought. I remember Al beating the Badgers in Madison and jumping up on the scorer's table. If you look at the picture closely you can see vermin fans giving him the finger. Bless you Al for all the memories.  It would be a good time for Coach Smart to give some of us the pleasure of seeing history repeating itself. Golden Eagles by five.

Can

Love your posts but one correction and one warning.

If I’m not mistaken the game where Maurice Lucas hit a buzzer beater to beat UW and Al jumped on the scorer’s table was played at the Milwaukee Arena.

And watch your language. About a week ago some media morons (and some Scoopers) decided that using the term “vermin” made one an antisemite at best and a nazi at worst. Crazy, I know - but we live in crazy times.

Lenny I'm pretty sure you're right. It was years ago. I remember Maurice well. The first power forward in the NBA. Portland. I won't rattle off the names on that team but I remember them all. My brother in law played against Lionel Hollins in high school. They both played center at six-five. Bill Walton, Twardzic? There was probably a Jones in there.  It was 1977 the same year Al won the natty as you kids say. Every year since, Trailblazer fans say "Next year". It sounds awfully familiar. MU will get there again and this isn't wishful thinking. Not by any means. You used to recruit against blue bloods and now those same teams are recruiting athletes who are already one and done. Gimme me the guys Smart is bringing to town and we will beat them. Player development and role playing in the offense. Sharing the ball and not caring about individual stats to attract an NBA scout.

What am I doing for the game? I'll meet my best friend from Oconomowoc at Miss Katie's and we'll eat a breakfast with chicken fried steak and we'll have a spirited share of opinions about the game and the poor quality of the tv screens. He's a big Badger fan-- I don't quite understand that. But in the end we part as friends after a game like that because the best thing about friends is that you enjoy your time together. I think so.
