Cronin outcoaching Shaka.

No surprise there.

No but they’re shooting much better than us so far.

True and they're +7 at the line.  Those two missed front ends and the foul on the triple from Chase did not make me happy.

All things considered, I’ll take the first half and regroup. I thought they started out pressing and playing too quickly, last 6-7 minutes they had much better possessions.

I have been saying that MU experience and poise is a big part of my excitement for this team, we will see if that makes the difference in the second half.

That foul on the triple, while inexcusable, doesn’t happen if they call Gold being tackled on the previous play.

The Chase foul really hurt because it came after the non call of Ben getting mugged on the boards.

Goose,

I would like to see Oso get more touches in the H-C.  I also think Tyko is letting UCLA's physicality get to him a bit.  Additionally we need more offense from Stevie, Chase, or someone playing that 3rd guard spot.

Unreal.  UCLA was shooting 29% before this game.   Cam looks hurt Cronin said hmm

The MU curse where poor shooting teams just score. They sure are taking us out of our game. Shaka wants them to pass more and not drive to the basket. Let's see if they adjust.

Mitchell is offensively bankrupt

After he clanked the 3 and the free throw he avoided taking a couple of wide open shots. He’s playing scared on the offensive end right now - zero confidence.

Fair but this isn't about officiating.  We're better than this and have to be smarter as well.

ESPN has got to get a handle on this. Whoever the scrub on play-by-play has no idea how to handle him. We've hardly received a statistic or new piece of info the entire broadcast.

We learned Oso is related to Iguodala

TK, Oso and Kam combine for 14 points…. If I didn’t know the score I’d guess we are down by 16.

Didn’t say our performance was due to officiating. Was simply commenting on a bad non-call that led to 3 points.

ESPN's combination tonight of the on-court tandem, along with the off court analysts, is to put it mildly an abomination.

We played like crap.   And only down 5.   Let’s get going and wipe them out in half two!  Gooo Marquette!

Muggsy

Kolek had horrible game against UCLA two years ago and I think he was pressing early. I think he has a big second half.

MU needs to get the lead and force UCLA to shoot the ball before the shot clock is under 8 seconds.  If UCLA can wait for late shots the whole second half MU will need to shoot much better and hope for a late, tight win.

Fingers crossed on a quick 10-2 for similar type run to start the half. It would be a big game changer. Get a lead and UCLA is forced to play quicker.

Poorly played, poorly officiated, poorly announced 1st half. I think the 1st one will improve.
