Unless I missed something while flipping through past year schedules, I believe that before Illinois last night our most recent true road win in November was in 2013 @ Cal State Fullerton

But that was part of a Thanksgiving tourney that CSF hosted.  Before that it's 2010 @ Milwaukee

But that was literally across the street. Before that it was 2006 @ Valparaiso.

Point is, true road wins in November are hard to come by.  Big win last night.

First high major road win since the opening game of 2003-04 when we beat St. John's. Took more than 20 years to get it (20 years and 1 day, to be exact).

Are we sure St John's counts as High Major?

They still might be top 10 in all time wins. They might have been top 5 in all time wins in 2003-04.

I know it's November, but I am sopping up the au jus.  What will be will be, but I plan to savor and enjoy this team as much as possible.

I was at that game at MSG. That game might have been considered at the time to be a neutral court game even though it was played on St.Johns' home court, because it was technically part of a Coaches Versus Cancer doubleheader ( don't remember who the other 2 teams were). If I recall, MU played Villanova the following year in the same event at MSG.

Which is crazy because for the last thirty years they have been meh.  My New York friends have to constantly remind me of that fact when I make fun of St Johns.

In case you were wondering:

@Nebraska November 2005 (should never have played this game on way home from GAS)
@Florida November 2012 (Elite 8)
@ASU November 2013 (Buzz out)
@Ohio State November 2014 (Wojo)
@Indiana November 2018 (Ja Morant)
@Bucky November 2020 (Wojo)
@Purdue November 2022 (2023 Big East Conference Champions, 2023 Big East Tournament Champions)

It's typically based on the number of games a team plays at a venue. That's why Villanova only plays 3 games at Wells Fargo when Philly is an NCAA host. SJU played 15 games at MSG. Coaches vs Cancer or not, it would count as a home game.
