Hasn’t Shaka made some kind of comments about Kam having more or less the ultimate green light? I feel like he talks about wanting everyone to feel confident they can take their shot. Maybe I’m imagining these things.

My recollection was that initially Shaka encouraged Kam to shoot more, saying he was too shy and was our best shooter. When Kam took his advice a little too much too heart and began launching 30 footers early in the shot clock Shaka said publicly that Kam needed to tone it down. And he has.

Shaka also immediately yanked him last night after a deep three early in the shot clock.

Yep. And as StillAWarrior said, Shaka also benched him once.

Asking how Shaka would have coached Glenn Rivers or Vanilla Soft Serve is akin to asking how Al would have coached Oso or Kam.

Al would have punched Oso in the face, and he would have told Kam to leave for the NBA midway through last season.

I mean, that's just science.

Lose.

Bob was an artist. As such, he preferred collaboration to competition. Should have stuck with the piano.

Imagine having a top-5 team with an arena hopping for buy games and spending time bitching about previous coaches.  Marquette fans are so soft it’s unbelievable.  Bet Arizona fans spent the night bringing up Sean Miller

Imagine Scoop being filled with sarcastic, and rarely funny, inane attempts at humor.  Wojo lovers like you and the others that had an issue with the quote are so soft it's unbelievable.

Shaka's quote is relevant and stands out as a contrast to where we are and where we were.  It's really sad you, Sultan, MuMark/markedman, and other Wojo fans get so sensitive over comparisons.

You guys are truly vanilla soft serve!  Chill and embrace the current coach and its Top 5 ranking!!

Uh…. You’re the one that keeps bringing up Wojo. I mean you just brought him up in a topic YOU created in a topic about a Shaka quote of all things.

Move on dude. The rest of us have.

This is easy. Shaka would never have recruited the brothers.

You know Doc, it's a different culture. For a player to be recruited seriously, they have to fit in.

Their aint no "go to" must have shooter on Coach Shaka's teams. There are five of them -- the five on the court.

Relationships mean having confidence in each other, looking for each other and counting on each other. In corporate-speak, it's called collaboration.

What got Wojo in trouble was there was no collaborative effort. What I saw in his teams was a lack of brotherliness and instead looking for the big brother to "beat up the bully."

All this said, Shaka may have recruited Markus but if Markus had come here under Shaka, he would have been a very different player. Ditto for the brothers.

I agree.  But it goes without saying.  Markus and the Hausers would have been a much better team with Shaka as the head coach.
Markus wouldn’t have come to MU if Shaka were the coach.
