Kam

Ps - I think all 8 returning regulars had between 6 and 9 FGA. That’s remarkably odd, I think??

Kinda refreshing.

Some might even say nice.

I vote for:
1.  Old codgers who streamed for the first time - AND got past the Free Preview on the Fox Sport App.

That's why God invented Marquette engineers. They have to be good for something!

Kam a good choice, but I also liked Chase's efficiency - kid is definitely going to get paid money to ball - almost certainly on the US side of the pond.

I have to go with Kam. He set the tone early with his threes, legitimately attacked the rim in the second and sought out contact leading to a career high in FTAs, and showed some aggression on the boards late. Studly performance.

Honorable mention to Chase and TKO.

Don't get me wrong - TKO is awesome and our most important player - but I wasn't impressed with his game last night - try to force things a bit too much (although as I and others have mentioned - his deep stroke looking much improved). 4 assists against 3 TOs versus a very poor NIU teams isn't his best outing. I'm no sport psychologist, but clearly dude thrived when he had a chip on his shoulder - not sure being the favourite suits his approach.

This cracked me up.  I tried to get a classmate ('80) onto the stream, but he just couldn't figure it out.  I'll go with Kam on this one.  Still smooth!  If the team needs energy, Stevie will provide!  TKO added some arch to his shot, it would appear, and loved Chase staking a claim as the next BEast 6th man of the year.

All answers besides Ben Gold are incorrect… that was a top 10 MU dunk of all time.

What?  That wasn't even the best dunk by an MU player in the 2nd half.

He had two turnovers early and I agree he was looking to force things too much. But he settled down nicely and played very well after that.

I chalk those TOs up to first game jitters. It will be interesting to see how teams play TKO in conference. In his first season, teams played him to pass because his offensive game was not as good. In his second year, teams played him to pass and he scored. This is where having other players that can drain shots is going to be important. It will be interesting to see what Ross/Stevie and Jops numbers are in conference from 3.

Forget "Marquette Worriers," let's change the name to "Marquette Over-Analyzers"

Were you in the building? He simultaneously stiff armed NIU’s center with his left while dunking with his right. Yes he’s 6’11, but the level of coordination on that dunk was incredible.

Al Amadou for his late game slam! Great first points as a Warrior!
I was going to post the same thing. I was not able to watch the whole game, because of the Big East opening day coverage. Amadou's dunk was the most enjoyable thing I saw.

Kam set the tone. I’d go him. Stevie is a total game changer defensively though.

I think anyone who hits double digit rebounds in a win will automatically get my vote this year.

Agree Kam for SOTG.
Agree Stevie had an awesome game among others too! Stevie lead the team by far with +26  +/- ratio. In playing less than half the game Stevie also led team in steals with 3. Stevie had 6 rebounds also.
