That Oakland zone will be shredded by a 2 seed.

Doesn't matter. The match up is more important than the seed. ;)

Some guard on Stony Brook just fired up a hook shot.  73-73 on CBS Sports with 18 seconds left

It could be argued the new landscape has led to more parity in college basketball. Low and mid major stars transferring up, high major recruits transferring down or across. Jumping early to the G League is a pay cut with NIL. The extra COVID year is still playing through as well. One doesn't need to look further than the All Big East team or last year's Final 4.

Roy, K, Jay, Boeheim saw their monopolies threatened. They got out like Al did when their landscapes changed.

Those guys were pretty freaking old as well.     It was time.  I believe if they were all 10 years younger they’d be in the game still.

Correct.  Roy, Mike and Jim would have retired regardless most likely.

Overtime in the Coastal final.  7-seed Stony Brook had a couple chances but didn’t take advantage.  Charleston is the 1-seed.  League wants Charleston to win.  Stony Brook would not be nearly as highly seeded as Charleston

Charleston or Oakland could possibly be 1st round opponents should Marquette drop to a 3 seed.

Was a good game. Probably better that these top seeds are winning as they would have a chance in a first round game.

Probably his former coach and teammates at Oakland. He didn’t play for Shaka and I think the only teammate remaining at MU is Oso.

Conference tourney week is awesome, but I prefer the higher seeds win to make the games next week more interesting.  Wagner/Merrimack difference was probably minimal in the grand scheme but had Stony Brook won, Coastal would have been bummed with their seeding.

UC-Irvine, McNeese State and Grand Canyon are others worth keeping an eye on.

Samford and JMU could be a problem for someone, too
