If SC manages to lose the rest of its games by fewer than 40 points each, what seed will it get?

I agree with this analysis. He's said "it's a big country" about 3 times already. I can't stand how he goes "woah!" And talks over the color guy every single time a decent play is made.

He is the color guy.

Marquette isn’t visibly flawed. If they are, every team including Purdue is. The physicality of the Big East has these guys prepared for that supposed Achilles heel. Marquette had a short stretch where they got slightly bored and unfocused after a monster opening portion of the schedule.  It ended up being the best thing that could’ve happened to these guys.

Listening to these UCONN fans jaw and spew arrogant nonsense as if a repeat championship is a mere formality, I’m officially not tolerating the COLE around here anymore.

It’s time we see this MU team for what it is, and that’s a team fully capable of hoisting the hardware while playing the most exciting brand of basketball 🏀 going right now.

I’m terms of swagger and expectations, we are generally a humble, measured fan base, and 90% of the time that’s a good thing. With obnoxious UCONN on the horizon, however, it’s time to fight fire with fire. We are every bit on a par with them, and I expect us to bury them in their smack talk on Saturday. If on the slim chance we don’t prevail, the upcoming schedule favors nursing a protected seed.

I’m all-in on touting this amazing group from here until Shaka’s birthday. The sky is the goddamn limit for them!  I suggest the rest of you come along for the ride.

OK,OK everyone's a comedian 😁.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm an irrational SC fan from 30 years ago. Like with MU, always hoping they can do something. So any team in a power conference with only 3 losses at this point, (now 4), the fans have got to be feeling it. Yeah 40 after that post, I deserve it 😁😁.

But just like with MU Saturday. I'm feeling a win! Right! Head says no. The road excuse in back pocket. Forget that! Let's beat these MFs!! (to quote an MU player of days gone by).

Its easy for everyone to be a monday morning quarterback. The fact is that S.C had the best road win out of any college team to date @Tennessee which many people are picking for the final four. Its not like we were saying Butler has a chance for a 1 seed.

Congrats to Detroit Mercy on their first win of the year over IUPUI.  They’re now 1-26 and 1-15 in conference.

IUPUI is 361st in KenPom and Detroit Mercy is 357.  Talk about dragging a league down

Actually, Butler has the best road win of any college team to date!  That will change Saturday!

(Last post today..got to get to work 😜)

Detroit is another team from days gone by. DM used to be just UD. Dad would take us down to his alma mater to watch Vitale and his crew fight MU and others...the whole place was rocking. So mercy on Detroit Mercy.

I never know what low-major teams are playing since you stopped posting those schedules. Did you get bored with that?

They are the only school left in the Horizon from the days when Marquette was in the conference. They are a surprisingly poor institution, with an endowment of less than $100 million, and just have never been able to sustain any sort of success on the basketball court.

Once conference play began, you didn’t see many non-D1 schools getting games.

However, missing this titanic matchup was my bad

Nobody was Monday morning quarterbacking.  I posted during the day yesterday that they were underdogs in 5 of their 7 games remaining, and 1 of the 2 games they were favored in was by less than 1 point.  The idea that SC could go 7-0 and then win 2+ SEC Tournament games was absurd.  Someone correctly pointed out that they were far more likely to go 0-7 than 7-0.

So a perfect Saturday would be MU beating UC and Texas beating Houston. Texas would surely become Q1, MU would cruise past everyone but Purdue to #2 and we'll be able to enjoy that for a couple weeks at least.

I think Auburn is really good, and a team I would like MU to avoid.  They are LONG and athletic, and they go have good rotation of 8 guys.

Unfortunately, they can't play NCAA games at home. Their best win away from home is Ole Miss, who's a bubble team. They haven't beat anyone else who's remotely close to the field.
