Most teams are when their best player isn’t playing.

I see their roster experienced McCullar degeneration.

From Yahoo Sports:

No. 23 Indiana State is ranked for the first time since 1979, when Larry Bird led the top-ranked Sycamores from Terre Haute, Indiana, all the way to the national championship game, where they lost to Magic Johnson and Michigan State.

45 years later, Indiana State is back on the national stage, led by guard Isaiah Swope (17.7 ppg) and goggle-wearing big man Robbie Avila (aka, "The College Jokić").

The Sycamores rank fifth nationally in scoring (85.6 ppg), ninth in 3-point percentage (39%) and No. 1 in adjusted field goal percentage, per KenPom.

Most teams are when their best player isn’t playing.

Even when healthy, they are very ordinary on the road.  And McCullers doesn’t change the outcome of last nite’s beatdown.

Indiana State 7-37 from 3 and down 13 late to a bad Illinois State team at home

Illinois State is 220 in KenPom.  Sycamores were 18-point KenPom favorites.  Goodbye, top-25

Ranked for the first time since Bird.

Immediately lose that ranking while also taking a blow torch to their at large resume. Q4 loss. Donezo

Even if no auto-bid, rather they make it than some crappy 6th place Big East team or crappy 8th place Big 14 team

Michigan was down at one point by almost 40, then lose by 29.  Howard has to be in big trouble.

And it's Michigan-Michigan State on the Fox Primetime Game Saturday night.  Not a Number one, Number 4 showdown.

Syracuse fans rush the court. Didn't think I'd see 'Cuse fans do that after beating the #7 team in my life time. Times have changed.

I understand from some of my Michigan friends that they have the Patrick Ewing issue - it's going to be hella awkward to fire a legend.

Have some patience, FFS.

Storming the court after beating #7 as a power conference team is sad. Have some dignity.
