Are there any mid majors that jump out as having a chance to win a game or two in the tournament. I would honestly rather see them get a shot than a team like Steon Hall or Butler get a 9/10 seed and bounced right away.

The most obvious ones are the aforementioned Indiana State and the Mountain West schools. If the A-10 gets a second bid (Richmond, most likely) they could have a shot. St. Mary's is one to watch.

As far as the one-bid leagues, I think Grand Canyon, Samford, and McNeese all look like potential first weekend darlings.

Alternately, maybe they were never that good in the first place. Their wins over Mizzou, Michigan, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Clemson and Virginia don't look nearly as good now as they did in December. Four of those were ranked wins when they happened, none are ranked now. The first three aren't even in NCAA contention. Maybe just a case of a team getting overrated before they were truly tested.
