I'd be surprised if they were a true title threat, but either way next year is gonna suck. They'll be really good, and MU will likely struggle a bunch.

They have as much chance as anybody to win the NCAA.  There deep and can score 80 points on any night with not one fastbreak.  Storr has the talent to be a first round pick.  Next year they will be even more talented.

has a lot of potential with or without Kolek. If he stays their offense could be dangerous with Gold at the 5.

I'll just enjoy this year for now. Later is so far away!

Wisconsin is an experienced system team.
Marquette is an experienced team that improvises a lot
So far this year, Wisconsin system is working better than our improvising.

We are both right around the 2 line. Marquette is 43-12 since the start of last season.  Everything they are doing is working...And they are just off a loss to Penn St..soooooo...

Scoop ion the other hand will always underperform.

Storr looks like a first rounder. If he was on MU, nobody would be confident he would be back.

Eh. He scores, sometimes a lot. He doesnt rebound, doesn't get assists, doesn't shoot well,  is a fine defender but not elite. Smells like a great college scorer and very good college player.  Doesnt smell like an association member

Bingo.  He's good enough to be an alpha scorer in college but not the NBA.  The rest of his skillset doesn't lend itself to being a valuable role player.

Meanwhile, someone like Oso has a chance because he's a great defender and monster finisher in the pick and roll, both as a dunker and with his floater.

Add in solid rebounding, and above average dribbling and passing, and you have the makings of a nice prospect.

Even Kolek has a chance at being a backup NBA PG due to his elite passing, good enough shooting, and underrated defense.

That's not really what scouts are looking at.  Omax didn't really rebound or drop dimes either.  What they might see with Storr is potential because of his size and athletic ability.   They might see that in the open floor and in transition he can find a different gear.

is Mich St. a tournament team?

At this point, yes. I don't love their resume and I'm lower on them than most (11-seed in Dayton) but the metrics are great, none of the losses are that bad (even JMU), and the Baylor win is great for a team on the bubble.

Omax did just about everything better than Storr

O-Max was worlds better as a defender.  O-Max made his mark guarding NBA prospects like Keyonte George, Jordan Hawkins, and Colby Jones last year.

Storr is not anywhere close to that level of a defender.  If you're not good enough to be a star, the NBA really wants specialists.  Storr's not a shooter, not a creator, and not a defender.

O-Max at least had enough defense to get drafted.  The Mavs have to hope his offense develops enough to be a rotation piece.  That will determine if O-Max sticks in the NBA or ends up playing internationally.

Don’t think Omax would thrive in one of the better leagues overseas.

The game is a lot different and elite athleticism without a ton of other elite skills doesn’t play as well in Europe.

His passing/dribbling/vision and in game intelligence isn’t elite imo.
The shooting isn’t elite either.

Someone like TyKo would be way better suited for the high end European leagues, which are the next best with regards to income if I’m not mistaken.

Players already slipping around in Providence.

Get your sh!t together with this court/arena. This is the big leagues. If you’re putting players’ health at risk every time you play a home game you should go to playing games in an empty practice gym.
