With luck I'll have an answer later today. At a quick glance, I'd lean Arizona, but it's close. The Q3 loss stands out as a blemish, but as you said, the 6-3 Q1 record is very good. I prefer their win column but our loss column. When it comes to NCAA seeding, wins usually trump losses.

I did a quick scrub this morning.  I feel pretty sure through the top 9.  Then it gets trickier.  My S-Curve so far:

1. Purdue
2. Houston
3. UConn
4. UNC
5. Tennessee (but very close to a 1)
6. Arizona (more likely to move down than up)
7. Kansas
8. Wisconsin
9. Marquette

Then it drops off.  Got 7 teams in the next tier to sort through.

If I were not going to be at the Seton Hall game tomorrow, I'd be watching the Providence vs Georgetown game. Cooleys first game back in Providence,

Atmosphere before tipoff will be wild.

Yeah im pumped that game starts a half hour earlier than ours

Thatll be a nice 30 min to kill watching the beginning of that.

A bit of me wants Cooley to win in Providence just to see those fans  absolutely lose their $hit. Did anyone watch the documentary divine Providence? They've got a blogger comparing Cooley to hitler for crying out loud.

That illustrates - once again - what a great non-conference schedule Marquette had.

The masses agree with you. Switch UConn and Houston and that's what bracket matrix has for the top 9

Oregon State's head coach is Wayne Tinkle. He is the son of MU's former Dean of Men in the 1960's--also Wayne Tinkle.

I slightly favor Houston based on their superior metrics.  But both Houston and UConn are comfortable 1 seeds.

Purdue is a pretty clear #1 overall.  4-6 are pretty close, but like I said, Arizona has few chances to move up and is much more likely to move down in the long run.

Kansas, Wisconsin, and Marquette each have 2 games remaining vs projected 1 seeds.  Great opportunities to climb the S-Curve.

Arizona is going to have a very interesting case. Yes, they have 6 quad 1 wins but it's evident they are not playing good basketball and have not for the last month. If I were to seed them right now, they would probably be the last 3 seed. They have lost 3 road games in the Pac-12 that were all mediocre teams at best. It took a 19-point come back Saturday to beat UCLA at home. They Play at Oregon Saturday which they will more than likely lose. The Pac-12 is so bad that even the wins they are compiling are all sub 100 RPIs so the schedule does nothing but hurt them. I think they ultimately finish as a 4 seed.

I think Marquette ultimately ends up as a 2 seed. I think the losses to Seton Hall and especially Butler at home ended any change of them getting the 1. I am still not sold on Uconn. IMO they are not playing great ball just playing well enough to win. I think at minimum Marquette beats Uconn and home and unlike the blowout @Uconn last year, it will be a last minute type game.

I wish we could have played "just well enough to win" 7 Q1 games.
I'll stick with my opinion on Gold.  He'll be in foul trouble within the first eight minutes.

Updating my S-Curve:

10. Dayton
11. Baylor
12. Creighton

13. Alabama
14. Auburn
15. Iowa State
16. BYU

17. Illinois

There's not a lot of separation here though.  Very fluid.  Things get mucky after that.  I'm going to stop there for now and let the weekend games play out.

This year is college basketball is just weird. Winning on the road has never been an easy task but this year it seems almost impossible if you play on the road against a team with a pulse. Over the last 3 weeks there had to have been at minimum 15 upsets on the road. I don't think anyone is safe come NCAA tournament time.

You eyes are correct - winning on the road has been incredibly hard this year. https://twitter.com/j_sportscast/status/1750783019873599769

FIeld of 68 said that top 10 teams are 17-27 on the road vs unranked teams this year

I am watching the Wisconsin versus Michigan State game, actually, watching Wisconsin is kind of fun, played really well. Their offense is really quite good.

Yes.   But it's worth noting that Wahl and Crowl constantly hook with their left hand.  Why it isn't called is a mystery to me.  It's clear as Waterford.

Michigan State sucks, too.  Izzo needs to retire.  Joey killed him and his legacy and the program
