Sending condolences to anyone else who tuned in and experienced Buzz's goatee for the first time.

I appreciate that Buzz has leaned more and more into looking like a scumbag over the years. It’s like he is evolving before our very eyes.

He's like that one Star Trek episode with evil, parallel-universe Spock wearing a goatee.

Purdue probably returns to #1.   Good.team.

As KenPom says, the gulf between teams 4&5 is greater than 5&26.

Ken Pom also says BYU is the 5th best team in the country and Kansas is No. 11.

And Bama is 9th, Creighton 11h, Iowa St. 17th, etc, etc.  Kenpom has some issues frankly.   Way too much emphasis on margin of victory.  Iowa St. has literally beaten no one.  Not a single tournament team.

BYU is awesome, probably a lock for the final four.  And ridiculous that Kenpom does not have the Badgers in the top 10...

Ken Pom also says BYU is the 5th best team in the country and Kansas is No. 11.

Is cheering for teams we've played and lost to (Purdue, Wisconsin) and/or played and beaten (Kansas, Texas) even relevant?  Like, these teams are going pretty assuredly going to be Q1 wins or losses. Saying we beat a probably 1-seed is cool, saying we lost to a 1-seed is fine.

But with MU where its at, does it even matter?

Relevant? Yes. Does each individual game matter much by itself? No.

There could be a situation where we are one of five teams good enough for a 1-seed. One of those 5 will end up getting 2-seed instead. How each team's opponents performed could be the difference between a 1 and a 2 seed.

BTW, Texas is currently a Q2 game. And not even a Q2A. They will need to step it up a ton for them to become a Q1 win.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

KenPom isn't about ranking the best resumes. Just how efficient a team is. Margin of victory actually isn't a factor considered by KenPom (though you can generally use margin of victory to tell if Kenpom classified a performance as positive or negative.

It certainly helps to efficiently blow out a team !

No, it doesn’t.

Some people can’t or won’t understand how these sites work.  That’s ok.  Point Warrior is a perfect example.  He’s so worried about it and the Badgers he can’t take a second to understand it’s simply a tool to use in evaluating teams

You gotta love the ESPN analyst on the Auburn/USC telecast.  "Auburn already has some huge wins.  They blew out Notre Dame."  LOL.
