Oh I am completely proud of storming the court against ND in 1989.

Sounds ridiculous now, and perhaps it was, but it demonstrates the depth of where the program was at the time; hard to fathom now. Thank God for Kevin O'Neill on the heels of the Dukiet Debacle. Watershed hire for the program.

I believe MU was something like 1-10 against UW, ND and DePaul the two prior seasons.  Getting the Piano Man out of there and getting O'Neill's in the door, with his energy and his early recruiting wins, was very cathartic.  And then they whomped up on the Domers the Saturday before finals. The court storming was a release.

Hell the next week they gave top 10, defending champion Michigan a decent game and the post-game parties around campus were insane.

I’m still slightly traumatized from the Dukeit era.  One of my buddies made ‘Dukiet Farewell Tour” t-shirts that I proudly wore around campus.

I view that time as formative of the detached cynicism that is older Gen X.

I'm fairly sure that my four years at MU (87-91) were the worst four-year stretch of MU basketball since at least at the 1940s. They were 49-65 (0.430). Ugh!

Notwithstanding their loss to Bryant, FAU is pretty damn good.  I see that Liberty was given death.

I am surprised that fill in the blank Christian would associate with Queens.

Nice try. You expect me to believe there's an actual college named "DePaul?"

And good for UNC-Greensboro for finding Peace.   Something we should all strive for.

Scoop is the wrong place to look for peace.

You could make an argument for either.  For me, UConn. I want our 3 wins against them to look stellar on selection Sunday

Definitely UConn. Big 12 refs will hand KU that league so that win is going to age like fine wine regardless of tonight.

True.  And it will be awesome to say Kansas would no better than the third best team in the Big East.

100% rooting for UCONN.   I don't know if Castle is playing tonight but he will be when we play them in Feb & March.

Clingan vs Dickinson will be fun, but I am more intrigued of Samson Johnson vs Dickinson to be honest. Johnson is uber athletic and will give Hunter tons of problems.
