Someone doesn't understand what a Jesuit education is supposed to accomplish.

Save souls?

Save souls?

Don't believe that's in the mission statement. Nor is any other allusion to evangelization.
"I am one of those who think the best friend of a nation is he who most faithfully rebukes her for her sins—and he her worst enemy, who, under the specious and popular garb of patriotism, seeks to excuse, palliate, and defend them" - Frederick Douglass

Are they not priests?

Social justice, equality, development of the whole person.   There is a reason Jesuit institutions are found in inner cities.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

More of a charism.

Eh, would be easier to support this for someone returning from a Final Four year.

Too easy for critics to say he's showing off how many NCAA tournaments wins he's been part of in his career. Cringy at best.

Get your hate in now.

And stay off the parade route in April.

Ha! Love it Lens.  I hope he backs it up again.  It will be good bulletin board material.  Will be fun watching us be the hunted within the conference.

I saw this as a response to Big East Media Day from a year ago when MU was picked 9th and ignored by the press. Then one reporter felt sorry for them sitting at a table without asking them anything, or even acknowledging their existence. So he walked over and asked, "How do you feel about being picked as 9th?"

We all know TKO's now famous answer, and this photo is his "how do you like me now" response.

By the way, Big East Media Day this year is October 24.

So ... this photo is him reminding everyone that he backed it up last year.

I have no problem whatsoever with the photo. And I gave up a long time ago giving a chit what the Marquette bigwigs think about anything, much less something as mild as this.

I hope Tyler doesn't have any regrets down the road. Sometimes things that are cool and funny when you're 21 don't stand the test of time too well.

About 30 years Playboy did a series "Girls of the __________Conference". When they got around to Conference USA, of course a photo of an MU coed appeared. It certainly didn't bother me. But I wonder today if she had a do over.........

Okay, I'll be the one to tell you.  None of the girls in those pictorials actually attended those schools.

Wrong again, man. I personally know one of the Girls of the Big 10 and she was a student at the school she represented, hey?

A poster's wife was the MU entrant, or so he said.
