Any (Current of Former) Burners Here?
« on: September 04, 2023, 08:53:24 PM »
I've never understood the appeal of Burning Man. It seems like an event for self-entitled tech bros to get high for a week and act all-important.

Am I wrong?

Hedge Fund Billionaire Ray Dalio last year

Burning Man is underway. Here are the famous CEOs and billionaires who have attended tech bros' favorite party, from Elon Musk to Ray Dalio.

Coachella also hasn't been cool for years.  The corpos and dorks trying to look cool show up, and the cool kids move on.

You’re not wrong for the last 10 years or so.

Used to be a hippie gathering - until the rich, white bros destroyed it the way they destroy everything that is good.

I bet you also miss the 'good old' days of no women or people of color in positions of power in public corporations.

Sorry America is moving on without you.

Threatened to.  Strongly suggested that she should rethink how she chose to support her friend going through cancer.
