A look back at Marquette's fundraising results from Fiscal Year 2023
https://today.marquette.edu/2023/08/a-look-back-at-marquettes-fundraising-results-from-fiscal-year-2023/

The Marquette University Advancement team raised $100.5 million in new gifts and confirmed pledges in fiscal year 2023. This marks the third year of raising more than $100 million in the university's historic Time to Rise campaign, which is making an impact with students, faculty and staff in every corner of campus.

"Our worldwide family once again stepped forward to generously support the university in remarkable ways," said Vice President for University Advancement Tim McMahon. "As we look ahead to this final year of Marquette's most ambitious campaign ever, we have much to celebrate and much yet to accomplish."

Marquette publicly launched Time to Rise: The Marquette Promise to Be The Difference — a $750 million comprehensive fundraising campaign — in April of 2021.

Now in year eight of the comprehensive campaign, Marquette has secured more than $686 million in new gifts and pledges through the end of fiscal year 23 – 92% toward the $750 million goal – which includes more than $272 million contributed toward scholarships.

Nearly 65,000 donors have made a gift during the campaign, with 50% of those being first-time donors. In fiscal year 2023, 158 donors committed to gifts of $100,000 or greater. Of those donors, 26 contributed $1 million or more, and four contributed $5 million or more. In addition, donors contributed more than $7 million for the Lovell Center for Student Well-Being, to be housed within Marquette's new Wellness + Recreation facility.

Two thoughts. How is it in year 8, but was announced in 2021?

Second, if it really is year 8, surprised they are not at or past the $750M mark. Universities do not announce a goal # unless they are 100% certain they will shoot past it.

I can't figure the first one out. The second I read it as they have one more year for the $64M, so I'm guessing they are pretty confident in it. Maybe the Crean's reallocated the soccer stadium donation.
