Not a bad place to start...

MARQUETTE   This ranking is based on the Golden Eagles returning every relevant player - except for Olivier-Maxence Prosper - from a team that won the Big East regular-season title and the Big East Tournament before securing a No. 2 seed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Tyler Kolek and Kam Jones should provide Shaka Smart with a core capable of competing for a national championship.   --   29-7

No mention of Oso.

That's either a sure sign that CBS "hates" Marquette despite that ranking (which isn't even in the top 5!) ... or a sure sign that Caedin is Oso's replacement.

Honestly, anything between 4 and 20 is fair.

I'm expecting the consensus to be right around 10.

Anything below 12 would be an affront and grounds for war.

5 spots too low, but that's okay, they'll learn.

I personally have MU 7th. But i see how you get to below 12.

Houston and Tennessee are two teams violently underrated because their games will be rock contests. If you think Aaron Bradshaw is healthy, and rate the 2023 recruiting class higher than most people you could talk yourself into Kentucky just based on talent. Even with Cal sucking. Same kinda goes for USC a bit, what if Collier is just the best player on every court. Baylor is gonna be way better than people think. Walker could be a top 5 player. Their european guard can be awesome. Weird people could talk themselves into the other two Big East teams being good. Gonzaga will always be good.

I don't personally think it, but it isn't difficult. The best two predictive services KenPom and Evan Miya had last years Marquette team at 10th and 16th.

It makes me optimistic for this season every time I see the SOTG chart and see that the team's first round draft pick was a distant third last season. There's a lot of talent on this team. I can't wait.

I almost think OMax is just better suited for the pro game than college. He was a good college player, but I think he'll be a better pro.
