Weird fit to me. Wojo seems to be the complete opposite of a pro coach: one of his true strengths was recruiting. He was a terrible in game coach. But whatever. Best of luck to him.

I have never wanted a team and player to be matched up more than Joey Hauser as an undrafted free agent to Utah.

I would think that the "free" part of "free agent" likely would prevent that. Unless, of course, it was his only option. In that case, I absolutely agree. My preference would be for Utah to trade down to a late second round pick and draft Joey.

It seems like Wojo wants this to be his redemption tour to getting back to a high major college program, rather than bet on himself to win at a mid-major.

Wojo did some nice things for my MU housemates kid at Children’s/Mke. All good on Woj.

Its a decent fit, here is why. The Jazz have many of the Twolves first round picks in the the future. So they probably don't need to focus on G league development as much as other teams.

They can hire the cheapest qualified guy and Wojo is local.

I think he is going the pro route now……like Snyder did

Wojciechowski, who has been living in the Salt Lake City area since departing Marquette in 2021, has been eager to make the leap into pro coaching and now lands with a franchise replete with young players and three first-round picks in the 2023 NBA draft

The PERFECT fit for him. Zero accountability for wins and losses. Can fall off the map into oblivion while still collecting a check (from Marquette, too by the way!)

Just don’t count on him for any serious player development! Wonder how long until they figure that one out.

But one of Wojo’s shortcomings was player development.  👀

NBA? Wojo’s coaching in the minors, not the show. If he forgets the score down there no one will care - or even notice.

Good for Wojo. Getting some exposure to the NBA game should help him tactically become a better coach.

Another connection is Brendan Bailey's father Thurl is still a broadcast analyst for the Jazz.

Wojo should be living comfortably off his investment interest.
