MSU doesn't win yesterday without #10. While Joey would have been gone from MU by now, I'd wage a small fortune that he was extra motivated to play Marquette and he produced big time. Nads, you agree, hey?

Wojo tried his hardest. He's just not great with people or with planning or with communicating.

As a basketball coach, Woj makes a good insurance salesman, aina?

Northwestern Mutual going to give Wojo a prove it deal.

If Wojo wasn't here, Sam probably goes to Virginia straight out of high school. Joey definitely goes to MSU directly out of high school.

Maybe Joey is gone from MSU by now, but their history says they likely replace him with someone better.

I liked that he was wearing Red Compression shorts under his MSU uni, extra-petty for us! (or maybe it was for me because I was dreaming of Chase Ross dunking him into the shadow realm.....sorry for my bad karma)

Not only Wojo, but Mike Deane fooked us over.  If we don't hire Mike Deane, we don't have Brian Wardle who hit some big shots when Tom Crean was here.  That helped Crean establish himself which lead to DWade.  Wade and company makes the Final 4 and Crean is a hot commodity, so we can't fire him and have to keep him until he leaves for IU which means we promote Buzz.  Buzz wins some games but by the end is unhappy, criticizes the Big East and leads to Wojo who runs off the Hausers and ultimately leads to him being fired.  We hire Shaka who lost yesterday.

Thanks, Mike Deane

Our lives are filled with what if's. Everyone plays the hand they have. Joey is a heck of a player. We had no answer. Also, it did not help that a few players had a sub par game for MU.

Imo, we need some beef to make deep runs. Hopefully Shaka has his eyes on some front line help.

MU isn't beating any 7 (or 10) seeds the way they played yesterday.  Joey Hauser wasn't the issue.  MU's own play was the issue.

But congratulations to the 39 year old college junior.  Hope he finds as much success in his life as his 20 year college career.

CountryRoads

I felt no animosity towards Joey yesterday. Actually started to feel a bit sorry for him since MSU fans have ragged on him for years now. He's improved his game a lot. It took a lot of courage to get himself out of that mess Wojo created.

Also, Joey needing "extra motivation" to play well in an NCAA Tournament game that would be his last game of his career had he lost does check out.  Character revealed, aina?

RubyWiscy

The MSU fans I spoke with in Columbus love Joey. He is a very good player for them and he is happy there. He had a good game yesterday, but did not dominate.

I am extremely happy with Shaka and all our current players and MUs future prospects.

Nothing to see here. Move on with your life.

Charles Barkley has a name for guys who stay in college for seven years:  "doctors".   ;D
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Gang, we're better than this.

I used to think that, too.

Skatastrophy

Joey kept untying his shoe during the game to send Wojo a message

Other than that, it proved to be a f-ing dynamic hire.

Building on Uncle Rico's post, I blame Lute Olson. Kevin O'Neill called Lute for advice on beating Kentucky in the NCAA's in 1994. We then beat Kentucky to advance to the Sweet Sixteen hosted by Tennessee. Kevin then leaves for Tennessee and MU hires Mike Deane, who then recruits Brian Wardle, etc etc.  So without Lute's advice......
Thanks, Lute Olson.

If only Rick Majerus hadn't walked in on Scooter McCray (allegedly). We'd probably be a blueblood.
