This game as a learning event...
« on: March 17, 2023, 04:55:30 PM »
Shaka says each game is a learning event. The key new learning for today's game is that while Kolek is our POY, we win and lose as a team. Heard that clearly in Shaka's post-game summary and Kam's comment about being burned on a cut and giving UVM momentum in the first half and wanting to make amends in the second half. Oso's command and court leadership was great. Love how he had the five players go arm and arm during the free throws for the deliberate foul. It is about the rotating five, not one player.

I probably will get blasted by the board, buy Tyler looked a way too hyped out there, almost like we needed his play and points to win. His limited time today might be serendipitous as Izzo, who was right there watching the game at the press table, could not scout him close up.

Great game against a team with an unfamiliar style and great to show that should we have trouble against MSU, we will win as a team.
