Efficient Frontier

I am definitely guilty of having too little time to consume all things Marquette basketball during the Shaka era, and the first half of the season in particular. Can someone give me the context around the "violence" Shaka has referred to in the culture? I've been surprised (given the broader zeitgeist) that this has been mentioned without lots of explanations that it doesn't mean actual physical violence.

Any cheat sheet on what this cultural touchstone is supposed to be for MUBB?

Thanks - I'll take my question off the air.

CountryRoads

It's not that deep. It just means to play really hard in between the lines. Nothing to do with off the court violence.

Skatastrophy

Intensity of focus, game face, no half-measures.

Shaka is a concept guy, and has a different phrase/theme for every game. The team seems bought in, so w/e.

I thought violence was Alabama's mantra?

Everytime, Shaka has talked about violence his next sentence is it is not physical violence or an intent to harm but similar in context with havoc.
