Well it starts with the officiating and then usually ends with Marquette panicking and playing a different brand of basketball than they have all year.

Hopefully this team is different.  No reason they can't come back and win this game if they play their game.

Marquette has the longest drought in the conference in terms of last BET single game win.

The bottom line is our h-c offense was piss poor in tbe 1st half and we got caught up in the officiating.

They completely lost focus after the O-Max technical.  I'll check the score later to see if they pull off a comeback, but really only care about the NCAAs at this point.

That did seem to be a turning point. Stupid- talking smack was unnecessary and is going to get called every time after a dunk. I don't think we have a transition bucket since.

Soriano sitting in the lane on D has completely shut down our offense and we aren't punishing them sitting in the lane going 2-17 on threes, with about 7 horrible bricks.

Lucky to be down 10. Time to play like a team that hasn't been getting showered with praise all week. Get back to being dawgs and get after it.

SJU went on ONE 16-0 run where we played awful and the refs did not help. We are down 10. We are the better team and if we just settle in in the second half we should win.

It is tough to play against an opponent and the refs. What is amazing is how obvious it is becoming.

He doesn't only post when things are going bad, he's just been REALLY busy the last 15-16 days.  Coincidentally, since there is a winter storm hitting Milwaukee tonight, he's miraculously found himself free to post.

It's still early.  We're a 2nd half team.  This game doesn't matter anyway.   A full week of rest is more important that this game.  Losing is good for us, forged in fire.  The refs are against us so it's not our fault we're losing.

If we attack the basketball and simply stop being dumb, should at the very least make a run at it.

Kam has been forcing a lot of his looks - he needs to attack the rim.

I honestly think most of his threes were open and decent looks that we would be heralding him for if they were dropping. Take for example the back to back threes he missed on a single possession. Both of those were good looks. If one or the other drops, it's a different game.

He's forced a few, as have all the guys, but you don't tell a shooter to stop shooting because he missed some open looks. The one really forced shot he has was an end or shot clock violation.

It's still early.  We're a 2nd half team.  This game doesn't matter anyway.   A full week of rest is more important that this game.  Losing is good for us, forged in fire.  The refs are against us so it's not our fault we're losing.  We're not losing by nearly as much as we could be.  St John's is bound to not play as well for a stretch of this game.

I feel surprisingly okay. Winning obviously isn't a guarantee. They dug themselves a hole and need to play a lot better. But that half seemed fluky and MU has thrived in these 2nd half spots most of
the year.
