Shaka has given over 4 hours of interviews with Gottlieb which he has in turn turned into a five episode pod(search for it under All Ball with Doug Gottlieb in your favorite pod)...1-4 have been posted.  Shaka is so great and interesting, downside you have to also listen to Gottlieb :o

Much like Dakic, Gotlieb is very knowledgeable. He just doesn't stop talking.

This is fantastic, long - form Shaka content. Gottleib has him tell his backstory chronologically, including every stop in his coaching career. It includes plenty of 80's and 90's college hoops touch points, some of them Marquette related. Of course, Gottleib chats a fair amount, but most of it enhances Shaka's interesting story. Good stuff.

Look at the bright side. Suppose Dodds did the interviews?

Gottlieb tells a great story about how he almost went to MU. Recruited by Mike Deane, he stayed with Peiper and Chris Crawford in the dorms during his visit, drinking beers.

I hope they hid their credit cards.
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

Umlike Steven A. Smith who is not knowledgeable and never stops talking.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

Back in October, Gottlieb did a two-parter with Brian Wardle. Very good.

And again, Gottlieb is VERY knowledgeable about MU, told the story about how he was very close to going to MU, and genuinely loves the school/program.

And ... I like his interview style.

4everwarriors

His dad, the former basketball coach at UWM, back in the day used to plant himself in the entrance of the Milwaukee Arena before MU games, and hand out UWM schedules to people entering the Marquette games. Talk about marketing departments? Ya kant make dis chit up, hey?
