I've been critical of Jop all year, but I think we need him in this second half. OMax is a liability and we'll need some threes to get back in this.

Elon

I would be giving Ben Gold a long stretch of minutes in the second half.

Jake
A lot of negative posts on here tonight, but they are definitely in this game.

I'm a little baffled on the negativity, but we've all been hurt recently so I get it. O-max does need to rediscover his legs and the gsme slowing down. i think he will.

I feel bad for Omax right now. He is clearly just rushed, sped up, pressing, playing too frantic, and he's all in his head. He's trying too hard.

Honestly Oso is now a liability with teams defending him like Derrick Wilson. His presence in the game kills the offense now. But we really need him
on D. Catch 22.

But, Ben Gold needs to play A LOT more. He's attacked Kalkbrenner, Clingan, and Sanogo all successfully off the dribble as they press up on his 3.

I mean I don't want to compound on it and seem harsh, but it's kind of who he's been most of his career at Marquette...

That's why I never saw what others did.

To his credit, at times the game has slowed down, but mostly against inferior competition. Last year when Marquette was down 35 and UNCs defense was matador he looked great too.

I'm sure he's a great kid and wish him the best, and I'm sure he's worked hard and has developed a decent jumper to go with his athleticism, but he needs to change his game.

He needs to use his body and athleticism ti become a defender and rebounder first, and anything offensively is a bonus.
A put back, an occasional 3, a good drive here and there.

He is what Black is to UNC in an Elite 8 Marquette squad

Omax two turnovers were ball busting. Six point turnaround in short order.

Thought we had zero chance at halftime at UConn and think they are very much in this game.

Yep, those two possessions were massive just as we were getting CU on their heels. Tough catch I suppose at full speed on second one, but the first one is hard to figure.

I'm hopeful at this point Prosper moves on next year.  He lacks balance and his constant falling to the floor is a reflexive action at this point.  If he simply does his job on two momentum changing plays it's quite possibly a one possession game at the half.  His inconsistency is maddening.

Good lord.

I actually think it's a bit shocking Oso hasn't developed a 3 yet

Some of you should be embarrassed.

My God.  5 pt swing there.  Kam should have given that up.

Some of you should be embarrassed.

They never are. They'll say the same nonsense the next game.

2 times this half we took it to the rim on a fast break and got fouled with no call.

Tyler COLEk

Kam got hammered on that run out layup attempt. Huge no call.

I can't recall a Marquette team more victimized by officiating than this year. It's gotta have to do with their style of play.

Keep going to the rim

Keep forcing Creighton to hit from 3
