Yup, Omax turnovers seven point difference. Seven points.

That's is just brutal, but heck I am not an NBA scout.  He might get drafted by the NHL because he is like playing on ice.

Cut down turnovers, have Oso hit some short hooks and hope Kam goes nuts from three.

It's chaos whenever the Omax is anywhere near the ball. Sometimes it works out ok but sometimes it doesn't.

PointWarrior

Oso 2-6 from short range won't help much either.  This team is lost offensively.

Somehow he had 25 2nd half points against St. John's, maybe we'll get that OMax 😂
VIOLENCE!

BCHoopster

As much as Oso needs to learn how to shoot the 15 footer, it would be nice to see Omax take a mid range jumper, open all the time, trying to figure out Nevada Smith's ability to teach these kids?  Can he?

Never seen a guy on the floor as much as O-Max.  No contact necessary.  Happens whether he's on offense or defense. Just brutal

I think Ross and Joplin need more minutes in the second half. O Max needs a wake up call and some time to slow down

If Gold can/isn't afraid to drive on K, what's with Oso?

DoctorV

Seems as if Creightons defense is predicated on not allowing you to get an open 3, and then making you go all the way to Kalkbrenner.

They allow everything in the midrange.

Might be a good time to sprinkle in some midrange. I know it's not a part of the offense, but Kam and TyKo need some Darryl Morsell type mid rangers.

If not, then Marquette has to attempt more 3s in this one. Shoot early and often if you get a look.
I'm usually not a "more Ben" guy, but more Ben. Play him with Oso if you want Osos defense.

Also, he was awful in the 1H but go back to Jop, he's a creative scorer and has midrange abilities

Terrible swing.  That play where he fell down after that steal absolutely sucked.

If we pull this out, I have a feeling at least 2 of Gold, Jop, Ross are a major reason.

Marquette would rather take a highly contested shot at the rim or 3 than an open mid range shot. Maybe next year for Oso they will make an exception but I'd think he'd develop a 3 before a mid range.

Goose

Omax two turnovers were ball busting. Six point turnaround in short order.

Thought we had zero chance at halftime at UConn and think they are very much in this game.

JakeBarnes

A little too hesitant on shooting the 3s. Taking too much time on drives and the ball Is stopping.

Still in it.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

I'm hopeful at this point Prosper moves on next year.  He lacks balance and his constant falling to the floor is a reflexive action at this point.  If he simply does his job on two momentum changing plays it's quite possibly a one possession game at the half.  His inconsistency is maddening.

Agreed.

Elonsmusk

I feel bad for Omax right now. He is clearly just rushed, sped up, pressing, playing too frantic, and he's all in his head. He's trying too hard.

Honestly Oso is now a liability with teams defending him like Derrick Wilson. His presence in the game kills the offense now. But we really need him
on D. Catch 22.

But, Ben Gold needs to play A LOT more. He's attacked Kalkbrenner, Clingan, and Sanogo all successfully off the dribble as they press up on his 3.

He was a highlight reel of being on the floor.  Sit him down

Agree. We found some things that worked. Now to execute.

I would be giving Ben Gold a long stretch of minutes in the second half.

Jake
A lot of negative posts on here tonight, but they are definitely in this game.

He's had a rough stretch but I'd be careful what you wish for here. He's had some big games and was the only player who showed up in the NCAA game last year. He's got some good potential and has a lot of experience. I hope he's back but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

You're being kind. He's 2-2 on totally uncontested dunks, 0-4 on short shots with someone guarding him.

Hutch,

He's been great for us in a lot of big wins.  I understand the frustration but we just need him to relax a bit and simply ball.
