Yep, the "F" has been transferred from Mr. Butler to Mr. Mitchell.

Stevie Mitchell
108.8 ortg, 10.9 turnover rate, 3.5 steal rate

Tyrese Hunter
96.8 ortg, 18.3 turnover rate, 1.5 steal rate

Marquette got the right guy

I disagree on that, Mitchell was recruited as a point guard, he is not that. Hunter is a true point, Wojo should have taken both, he went to Hunter first who was undecided, and decided to wait. Getting Kolek in the long run worked out for all three.

Stevie..and it's no contest.  The character and heart of that kid shone through tonight on a huge stage.  Incredible performance.

Oh sure go with the high scorer. They always win SOTG.

Helluva performance Stevie. That is the epitome of Marquette toughness!

Based on the numbers, Hunter ain't running point at Texas

He's sharing the point with Marcus Carr.

DoctorV

Stevie Mitchell energized that arena more than anyone else on that court tonight.

Every ounce of that energy was needed for that win.

Honorable mention domino to the student that sunk the put in the 1H and got the people going.

That crowd was electric tonight, Stevie's head and heart were in the game all night.

Thank you Stevie

Well, he has a higher turnover rate than assist rate, so he's not a very good point guard

Hunter ain't running point. its Carr.

The fact that Stevie has been better than Hunter this year is insane and nice

If you think assist to turnover rate is important for a PG, sure.

Shooter McGavin

Stevie without any doubt.

Watch 5 minutes of Texas. Hunter is not a PG lol

Ellenson Guerrero

Super honorable mention to each of the freahmen; I know none of them played down the stretch but each one of them came off the bench in the first half and gave us energy to get us back in the thing!!!

His defense was like a swarm of bees.

Stevie was dynamite.

To quote Joe Chapman's tweet: "Stevie Mitchell MVP! Those r the type of players that win you championships! Dog mentality! Guards, get 50/50 balls, extra offensive rebounds, deflections, nose on the ball! Understands and values the ball! He's the X factor for a deep run @MarquetteMBB"

21Jumpstreet

Stevie, he's a dude.

Gotta add that while Jop and OMax were trrble, the mental toughness to drain a huge three and get a tip back dunk at the end is massive. Hopefully they both get back on track

Spot on. Of course, Joe Chapman can recognize the value of a role player contributing to a deep run just by looking in the mirror.
