They are urging Marquette fans to get to Wednesdays game.

I know it is a Wednesday, but if you are on the fence on whether to go or not and you are able to make it, just get the ticket!

These guys put us in a position to watch potential 1st place basketball all season. If we want the last 2 Saturday Home Games to be with 1st place on the line then we need to get this one.  Only game this week. Let's sell the place out!

We R Final Four

Couldn't have said it any better. How many years have we waited for a first place home game in mid February?

Wouldn't miss it!

Bought tix yesterday. excited!!

A Xavier game ticket was my daughter's Christmas present to me.   Looking forward to my first game in Milwaukee since Wojo gave JjJ a dnp/cd a couple of weeks after taking down #1 Villanova.

Can't wait.

Yes, this was sent out but only in response to being called out for doing nothing. And with no link for fans to buy tickets. Maybe try reading the responses before trying to fluff that tweet.

Brew I understand where you are coming from with regard to marketing the team and they should have provided a link.  But people literally have to have zero IQ to not know how to buy tickets for the game.  Does it show a lack of attention to detail?  Yes.  But if people are not going to buy tickets because of no link then they weren't going to buy them anyway.  We all have apps on our phone to buy tickets.

Of note, my son said the campus is buzzing this week in anticipation of this game.  Should be a great student section.

MU's marketing needs CPR. Someone should start a thread

I love hearing that your son said the campus is buzzing. Big game for the program on Wednesday night.

Agreed.  I was happy to hear that too Goose!

I think about my time at MU (end of Dukiet and early O'Neill) and am glad he is getting the better end of the deal.

Per usual...I'll be there with 3 others...I looked a week ago and there were decent lower level ticks for $60 on stubhub...all gone now.  Lower level corners are $70.

Wish I could get home for this one.  I think it'll be an awesome environment for a great college basketball game.  Hope for a blowout win.

Nah. I'm not sour grapes on the marketing like you.

At the end of the day we as fans know when the games are.  They shouldn't have to do major discounts for a game that decides 1st place.  We all know how to purchase tickets. It is on us.

You very clearly do not understand marketing, so it's easy to say you are "not sour grapes on it".

One of the basic concepts is to promote greater interest and to influence the decision making of the customer. In this case, it is the Marquette fan. With a savvy, creative and imaginative marketing campaign, not only would most games be quickly sold out, but the level of passion would be reflected in the crowd. The buzz becomes contagious and feeds on itself. The "it is on us" attitude is about as far as one can get from marketing. Those four words showed us where you are on marketing.

The lyrics from a very old song say it all: "Don't criticize what you can't understand."

My boys popped for the tickets expecting me to pop for beers. I hope you are in better seats. We are second row upstairs.

If I lived within a 6-hour drive, I'd be going to this game. And I would need neither the MU marketing department or this thread to tell me to do so.

All y'all who are going ... you're in charge of getting us the win. And you get the bonus prize of not having to listen to Pete Gillen call the game.

Looking forward to the 2 games I will be attending -- vs DePaul and at Butler -- with hopefully a chance to clinch the conference title at Hinkle!
