Quote from: Scoop Snoop on September 02, 2025, 08:22:17 AMOrcas ramming boats again off the coast of Spain. Before we get bombarded by ignorant takes as to why the orcas attack such as "they are sending us a message", ::)  ;D  I am quoting an "excerpt by an expert" from an article in the Independant:

Leading marine biologist Alex Zerbini, chair of the scientific committee at the International Whaling Commission (IWC) said the killer whale behaviour was most likely to be a new "cultural tradition", or a "fad" without an obvious purpose.

His report said: "Some populations may also develop unusual and temporary behavioural 'fads' and other idiosyncrasies that do not appear to serve any obvious adaptive purpose."

It's a "fad" for now until the Gibraltar Orcas execute their next move.

Thank you for putting your ignorance on full display. "He has no idea"  ;D  ;D  ;D  Muggsy, I have "no idea" why you are so determined to make a complete fool of yourself over and over and over again.

I could care less about his "qualifications".  There are a total of 0.0 experts on Gibraltan Orcas and their aggression towards vessels.  There have been countless "experts" that have been 100% wrong about marine mammals that have gained notoriety in the media.  Whether it be Luna the young Orca in Nootka Sound or Freya the Walrus.  That SeaWorld trainer was a so called expert on Killer whales.  Well guess what?  Tillikum got upset and she's no longer with us.  We're talking about an animal with a highly, highly, complex brain.  My opinion is logical in light of the history of their behavior.  All I have stated is they are likely sending us a message.

I would prefer harvesting the pod without blowing them into tiny pieces. Then they could be butchered and sent to the Gazans who are desperate for nutritious food. They would feed a lot of people. Those orcas have had this coming. These ugly orcas have destroyed some beautiful sailboats.

My five point plan to deal with orcas includes blowing most of them up.  One point, which I won't share but should be obvious, deals with what we do with the others

Dgies posted some great tips on barbequing manatee steaks. Since the manatees and the orcas are both sea mammals, I hope he shows up here to offer suggestions for grilling and seasoning orca steaks. Yum!

Your threatening insinuations towards our tremendous marine mammals are totally uncalled for.  Brother dgies respects the manatee population.

Or...a highly intelligent animal with no history of attacking or harming humans, but a long history of playing games and mischief (using unfortunate seals as makeshift sporting equipment) could very well just be trolling.  They've decided smashing into boats is fun, just like teens do rambunctious destructive stuff for giggles.

Uh huh. "All I have stated is that they are likely sending us a message". That's the part that is so laughable.  ;D  ::)  ;D  ::) You pull ideas like this out of your ass and have a hissy fit when you are ridiculed for them. If you even opened the link on Zerbini (doubtful) did you read it? He's light years ahead of you in his knowledge of the subject.

I guess that you cannot fathom that the "non-serious" posts here about orcas are just some of us mimicking your silly posts and pulling your chain at the same time.

That's a completely different subject.  And it wasn't all geopolitical problems.  Meanwhile, for 25 years we've had to deal with this colossal scumbag in Russia, and our strategy from all US Presidents and Western leaders is rapprochement.  It's fking absurd.  The 5 point plan is STILL, BY FAR, the best solution.  You would think after 25 years the people in charge would get their heads out of their asses.
