All I'll say is that, even with my legs in the water, it was hot in that costume! And it got hotter with that bear chasing me.

Animals are getting salty

The 🐙 did NOT attack a 6 year old boy.  The San Antonio Aquarium has established this fact.  This was a NO TOUCH tank but apparently the mother and 6 year refused to play by the rules which were perfectly clear. They refused to respect this animal and were dumbasses. If someone out of thin air just started grabbing you, while you were minding your own business, would you not be startled?  If anything the 🐙 showed incredible restraint by not going full throttle on the kid and his mom.  Your accusations against this 🐙 are patently false.  You should apologize and reprimand the humans involved.

And roasted, with a little paprika....

With the opening of lobster season, I am reminded of a couple shark diving stories.
Was diving in shallow waters with a long time friend. We swam around a large rock outcropping. After snagging a lobster, I swam around to see him trying to coax a lobster from along side about a 6 foot sleeping nurse shark. Only real danger was the shark swimming away suddenly and knocking him asunder. Later that same shark followed us and nabbed a couple of the shorts that we tossed aside.
Another dive trip I chased a lobster into a hole in one of the old keys bridge pilings. Put my head in the opening to see a napping nurse shark. Oops. Thankfully he remained asleep.

🐙🐙🐙🐙🐙 are tremendous members of our animal kingdom and their intelligence, escapability, and survival skills are remarkable.  Unfortunately, they are very tasty for a number of species and have short lives.

That's why you have to catch manatees while they're young. Their longer lifespans mean the meat can get less tender and lose taste with age.

There have been plenty of other outrages against animals. The fact that you aren't posting about them and focusing on this octopus is telling.  Why aren't you posting about every crime against animals? You will never answer this question.

A millionaire hunter from Dallas died after being gored by a buffalo during a trophy hunt in South Africa. Asher Watkins, who made his fortune trading luxury ranches, was on an organized safari last week, Coernraad Vermaak Safaris, when the fatal incident occurred.

I hope that buffalo was introduced to darkness.  Animals are here for 3 things:

1. To be eaten
2. To be hunted
3. To entertain

Once they leave those lanes, we must eradicate and punish them.  Most of you here are to soft to deal with these facts but trust me, if my rules were followed, things would be a lot different and animals wouldn't be causing death and trying to kill humans.  It's too bad such a small minority of animals give all the others a bad look but because of woke, we can't kill them.

Weak. You need a 5-point plan. Add two more and I'm on board.

Asher Watkins died a hero.

Close friend Shannon Wherry posted online: "On an African safari with his beloved mother, brother and stepdad, Asher came face to face with one of Africa's legendary buffalo... As a man of faith myself, I stand with Asher, though, having a stepdad means he's going straight to hell

Actually reading about this you have some of the facts wrong. It is a touch tank. Patrons are allowed to touch the octopus but it is supposed to be done with staff supervision. The tank wasn't staffed at the time.

Honestly some of your wrath should be directed at the aquarium, it seems to have a history of poor conditions for its animals

I see a zoo in Denmark is asking for people to donate their pets to feed the zoo animals.  Smart.

Honestly, the aquarium should be catching tons of heat.  An octopus in a touch tank is crazy, having a giant pacific octopus in an open aquarium with people reaching in is insanity.  Granted, I'm a bit of a saltwater fish/invert nerd, I can't even fathom who designed and approved the exhibit.  I've been to probably 25+ aquariums all over the world and Ive never seen such a set up for an octopus, much less allowing people to touch one like that.

Also, even if there wasn't an octopus, an unsupervised touch tank is absurd.  The Florida Aquarium in Tampa just opened a new touch tank.  Its got starfish and some coral/gentle anemones and slow/non moving things and there are at least 3 employees around at all times.  Same with ones Ive seen at the nearly any aquarium.

Have you ever pet sharks in a touch tank? They have one at the aquarium in Crescent city, California and the sharks enjoy it so much that if you do not pet them as they swim past, they will splash you. One shark only lets kids pet.

I had no idea sharks had that level of personality but it was pretty cool. Supposedly some species have a similar dynamic in dogs that they show familiarity and affection through petting. Pretty cool.
