Muggsy, I get your hate. But that's unnecessary.  You have the skills to bankrupt the nearest sushi parlor.  Why wouldn't you turn that aggravation into progressive polar shakes.  Polar bears would make the best frosties.

This is common knowledge.  If you come to practice ready to take down a polar bear and thus be the best MUScooper, that may convince us to keep you.

My LL Bean catalogue has only adult sizes, but I am sure that they also have a children's catalogue.  You must come within 40 feet of a polar bear, face it unarmed and without bear spray or any other deterrent, and tell it that you come in peace. Have a camera set up to record your encounter and arrange for someone to have the pics to be sent to me after your chat with the bear.

You're missing the point as usual.  And there's only one human that has been able to be in close quarters with a polar bear.  All I said is that they are not to be trifled with scoop.  In fact, I have mentioned many times that National Geographic put some poor guy with a camera in a "impenetrable cage" to film a polar bear and he very nearly was taken out within 5 mins.  The little photo session abruptly stopped when the producers realized that this steel cage  was vulnerable to the bear and its insane force and power.

As an aside, if 100 NFL lineman tried to fk with a polar bear, without weapons of any kind, they would be in worse shape than the poor guy who witnessed the cop being murdered in Fargo.  You do not mess with a polar bear.  It's that simple.

Damn! I thought you might take the bait "as usual". I'm not going to revise the offer to include a cage similar to the one you mentioned. You have posted too many times about the ability to reason with animals, so I'm calling your bluff.

Looks like a sturgeon, or similar family.  They don't have any teeth and inhale her food.  She basically got gummed on.  Momentarily scary by basically harmless.  Hilarious example of Chinese worker protection though.

A baby seal recently rescued in New Haven is on the road to recovery, according to officials at Mystic Aquarium.

According to a news release from the aquarium, the gray seal, which is estimated to be only a few weeks old, wandered from a beach onto Chapel Street on Sunday. Officers were called to the scene and staff from the Mystic Aquarium, as well as from Connecticut's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, came to assist the seal and he was transported to the Mystic Aquarium's Animal Rescue Clinic. The clinic aims to help wild marine animals, such as seals and sea turtles, who are injured or sick be rehabilitated.

This is beyond a sad situation.  These sea lions are suffering.

Less than sympathetic for these fish thieves who I have to race to retrieve my catch before one of them snatches it. Have been chased off of schools of yellowtail because of theses rogues only to locate another spot and watch them racing after us to reengage

Could be worse.  There are spots off the Atlantic Coast of Florida that are borderline unfishable because shark tourism boats chum the water so much.  Thus there are thousands of eager sharks expecting meals and they snatch almost anything of note off of deep sea fishing lines.

Sharks have been disparaged and misunderstood for quite some time.  Since 1975 to be exact.  I get it, but they're essential to maintaining healthy seas.  I'm not suggesting they understand they've been vilified, and falsely characterized, but I wouldn't fk with them regardless.
