There's your SOTG

That was fantastic. I was thinking Kam anyway, but that definitely ices it.

Leaning Kolek, but Kam's deserving too.

Kolek, but you could give it to Kam or Oso too and its not wrong

Kam

Really great team effort.

I'm going with Kam as he hit a couple of huge shots to return the momentum to us.

But Kolek was huge down the stretch making those free throws.

Dr. Blackheart

Kolek. 8 rebounds, 8 free throws to ice it. Plus, smarts to call a time out when trapped and falling.

Kam wasn't really a factor in the 1st half I thought. Only three points.

Tyler brought it all game, adjusted nicely with the right hand from the Xavier game.  KPom agrees.

Kam was the man tonight, and I liked him photobombing Shaka too lol

BM1090

Probably TK, but Kam because he deserves one.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Hard not to give it to Kolek with 19, 8, and 6...but Kam did seem to hit the big shots when we needed him to. I also appreciated Shaka's postgame where he said that Kam called an OOB play for himself and Shaka went with it and it led to a 3. Still, I think TKO had the better game.

Of course we can't give it to him because he wasn't the lead scorer  ;D

TAMU

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

brewcity77

In the post game, Shaka said Kam motioned to him and called that out-of-bounds play that led to the three for himself. Not something he usually does. I vote Clutch Kam.

That play was awesome

brewcity77

PC cut it to 6, then Kam scored or assisted 13 of the next 15 Marquette points. Incredible stretch for him.

Kam Jones had 3 steals a huge steal and score and clutch 3s late
Red Auerbach said Defense wins championships but he also said the most important skill is shooting.
Tyler Kolek honorable mention

Ellenson Guerrero

Kolek's FTs down the stretch don't happen if Kam doesn't put the team on his back throughout the middle third of the second half. Give the man his SOTG.

Another tough one and that is a good problem. Taking emotion out of it, I go with Kolek. Putting emotion into decision, the photo bomb gives the nod to Kam. I think Kolek was all around better player tonight.

CTWarrior

I am a huge fan ok TK, but it has got to be Kam for keeping this game from getting dicey at the end.

Exactly.  Kolek scored 6 points on late free throws to make his scoring total close to Kam's.

But without Kam, MU isn't in position for a free throw parade.

It's really nice not to have a go to guy or that "star player", but Kolek is getting the national recognition he has earned.

Kam.
But O-Max gets a high commendation due to getting two clutch baskets in the last 4 minutes when Marquette could of went into their frigid mode.
