It’s a fun brand of basketball. Shaka should be able to sell the style to quality recruits. Not sure what high level player wouldn’t love this style. Threes and layups, freshman play, everyone is encouraged to look to score, push the pace, dunk everything.

Lets see if freshman play next year, if all 9 comeback next year, add 3 quality recruits can you play 12?  Doubt it.  I may not see time for Lowery or Amadeus(sp) but
I do see time for Norman.

Went down a small rabbit hole here, but I think we should be prepared for more dunking. I compared Texas dunking numbers vs MU.

(#National Rank/ Number of Dunks/ %of 2pa)

2018
UT: (#8/151/13.7%)
MU: (#146/55/5.3%)

2019
UT: (#11/144/13%)
MU: (#136/59/5.9%)

2020
UT: (#23/101/11%)
MU: (#91/63/7.5%)

2021
UT: (#1/134/17.1%)
MU: (#55/58/7.1%)

MU Last year: (#8/121/13.1%)
MU This year: (#2/70/14.4%)

So...with 17 games left to play in conference, we've already got 10% more dunks than we did in any entire season between 2018 and 2021. Yeah, I'll take that. Providence was frustrating. We're going to have frustrating games. I really like where this team is heading and overall they're a lot of fun to watch.

They are just getting started on being dunk city. I could recruit with this style of play.

Enjoy the freakin' journey that is the 2022-23 season, my friend. Next season will take care of next season.

I am going to enjoy the style of play, but the bar keeps going higher in my book. There is nothing more fun than winning. It is time to get over the hump and stay over the hump.

We've got a really good team to get behind this season. And we'll have a really good team to get behind next season, too, but I'm not gonna give much thought to next season because I'm enjoying this season too much.

I agree. Just saying, we all know they are fun to watch and even the casual fan can enjoy this team. I have wanted this style of play for a long time and have wanted to really win for a longer period of time. Add winning to this style and everyone will be on the bandwagon.

Why would the Hauser's worry there was too much talent on the roster?  They knew none of it would get used due to the idiot coaching, and your M2N boi being a bonafide ballhog and chucker - which of course his idiot Coach wanted.

That aside, it is great to reside in Dunk City, versus below the rim city during the Wojo years.

My thought exactly.  No coincidence that my favorite non-MU team to watch the last few years has been Arkansas, right there with MU on the chart.  UAB has also been great to watch, Andy Kennedy has put a fun team together there in short order.

K State there is interesting too.  Good start and entertaining basketball after years of sub 65 PPG averaging rock fights with Weber

No way in hell I ever would have played for Wojo...the Hauser's shouldn't be questioned for leaving...but rather for why they ever chose MU.  Sam getting run with the Celtics is impressive...some time with TB was smart on his part.

Every time Oso dunks I think Theo John would have gotten blocked by the rim.  How refreshing is it to have an athletic big man?  And that’s from someone who appreciates Theo and what he brought to the team.

Thank goodness. I was worried a thread would go by without Wojo getting bashed!
