If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

We can learn from this game but this was so winnable. Extremely disappointing.

Well, one team ran out of gas. What a great performance until it wasn’t. Up 9 to down 9 in like 5 minutes. Now we know we can rebound!

Every game they have scoring droughts usually by chucking threes.
Two points in last 7 minutes.  Believe 1 for 15 from field.  That’s brutal.

Tw points for final 8 minutes, is that even possible.

Ball game.

First lesson is that you can’t go scoreless the final five minutes of the game and expect to win.

They will be fine. They played well enough to win for the most part. Weren’t able to execute down the stretch.

Shaka is choosing to recruit guys that simply cannot shoot the basketball.  I don't care if they're great "culture" guys.  He needs scorers.

This was like a Rocky movie where the opponent punches and punches until it looks like Rocky is out for the count before he miraculously finds his energy and whales on the opponent into submission. Unfortunately, MU wasn’t Rocky tonight

Well guess what..Shaka's athletes will F with your weak Badgers and you'll go back to Madison with a big L on Dec 3.

It was a tough final 10 minutes but on the whole I’m fairly encouraged by the first 3 games. This could be a fun team to watch develop.

A game they could have won and probably should have won. Biggest question mark for me is how they stay away from long scoring droughts. On a positive note, they get a lot of open looks and I think that will be trend all season.

I really wish Ross had made that shot from the corner with about ten to go. Great look and thought he made it. That goes in, we likely win the game.

I’ve resorted to sitting on the floor.  If this doesn’t help MU, I’ve got nothing else to offer.

Post of the thread.

It always feels like we miss wide open shots while the teams we play make all the tough ones.

Oh well. Good game plan, execution faded. Just gotta hope the team gets better each game.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Goose, I mentioned the drought problem and taking good looks  in a thread yesterday and it somehow led to an attack on short people.  There was a time in the game where we drove it into the teeth of their D 4 straight times.  Stop and pop from 6 feet or take the floater.

And yet I was ridiculed relentlessly for pointing this out yesterday. Cannot just launch indiscriminately when we need buckets.

I thought Joplin made some tough shots.

Kam is a great shooter when he takes shots in the flow of the offense - but he does too much chucking.

Shooters shoot. Kam was hitting at the beginning of the game, and kept shooting. Joplin wasn’t hitting at the beginning of the game. They both kept shooting, and results switched for both.

Hard game.

Again, this team struggles to score in the half-court.  If Mitchell and OMax can't score it's a serious problem.
